Why ppl say Kovalev is washed when both of his Ward losses were controversial?

Hah stop it.
Manny lost to Jeff Horn
GGG lost to Canelo
Kovalev to Eleider and Ward and possibly Canelo
Once you hit 35 in boxing your career is basically fight to fight.
Your body's power, stamina, and punch resistance diminish with each passing day.
None of Manny, Kovalev, or GGG fought a killer in their prime although GGG could arguably get credit for Canelo (but he either split that 1-1 or 0-1-1) and Canelo was smaller and moving up.
Manny went on to beat Matthysse, Broner and Thurman
Kova bounced back and beat Alvarez then stop an 18-0 Yarde. Now he's the top LH
GGG I don't know but he's still the top guy
There is no way washed up fighters will do that.
Way back it was Foreman then BHop now these guys... 100% that dreaded 40 will fade with advanced training methods, diets and supplements.Comment

but if they had selected old golovkin..and when old golovkin lost in more clear fashion, maybe even stopped, they still would have come with 5 excuses...the most obvious one being how hes "old"Comment

Ward, who doesn’t even punch hard, knocked Kovalev out.
Alvarez, who doesn’t even punch hard, knocked Kovalev out.
Kovalev’s trainer almost threw in the towel against someone who has no amateur experience and only 18 pro fights.
Anyone who uses logic knows Kovalev is shot.Comment

Broner was never a killer. Never. At any weight class.
Thurman was never a killer but he was well promoted
Eleider Alvarez is a limited fighter and I dont think he'll be a force at LHW in 2-3 times with Bivol and Beterbiev there (and maybe Canelo). Kovalev showed tons of heart in taking the immediate rematch and winning it very clearly
Yarde was similar to Alvarez in that he had terrific power, but limited in other areas...for example, STAMINA.
GGG has fought Canelo twice (bonafide Top 10 PFP in both fights) and he held his own. Some people say GGG won both, but most are content with the scoring being either 1-1 or 0-1-1 as official scores show. Dervenchenko - who is not elite - beat GGG close, but clear. And notice how the fanGGGirls arent crying about robbery in that one XD XD XDComment

from the other thread...
why aren't Golovkin fans excited about his upcoming fight with Sacramento?
oh, right... because they are too busy criticizing Canelo for jumping TWO divisions to fight Kovalev loooool

He’s clearly not the fighter that whooped comfortably whooped guys like Pascal and really beat Ward in their first fight.
He’s still a good world level fighter that can pick up a title depending on the opposition but that’s about it. He’s approaching late 30’s and looks it.
Canelo picked the fight for a reason, make no mistake. They wouldn’t even fight GGG until he started looking faded and mid 30’s and still couldn’t beat him without judges, so do you really think he is going to fight Kovalev at Light-Heavyweight unless he’s really faded?
They know what they’re looking at.Comment

wow, no room for ***** in there... ?
so Canelo is bad, for selecting old Kovalev... instead of selecting older Golovkin?
is that right... ?Comment
