ESPN reporting Alvarez brought his own interpreter instead of using GBP

Canelo Alvarez made it clear that the days of a close, personal relationship with Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya were over, telling reporters before Wednesday's news conference, "It's only a working relationship."

“For years, Alvarez, who understands English but prefers to speak to the media in Spanish, has always relied on Golden Boy's bilingual public-relations team, matchmaker Robert Diaz, president Eric Gomez or CEO De La Hoya to help him. But with the relationship with company officials so rocky, for this fight he has brought in his own interpreter in Vivien Nichols.”

Dan Rafael must be a PBC shill.

There was zero interaction between them. Not a handshake, not a pat on the back, not a smile or a word to each other -- when normally there would be. The men barely, if ever, so much as looked at each other.
Someone send this video to Dan Rafael, he needs to revise his story. Timestamped 9:23

That was the best interpreter I've ever seen in my life.

She needs to be hired more often, not just for Canelo. As a fellow Spanish speaker she was brilliant.

That's interesting. It obviously means they don't trust each other, probably hate each other. Just two business owners stuck together in a mutually beneficial partnership.

Industry whom have been waiting for Canelo to lose - due to their saltiness for GGG (like Rafael and Pugmire) are blowing everything out of proportion to get all of GBP affiliation nervous and unfocused. Canelo about to fight the Krusher, a boxer whom recently punched a lady he was stalking...

At the end of the day, industry knows Alvarez and GBP are in serious litigation which is why GBP and Canelo can’t acknowledge any business since information at the presser. It could jeopardize or create confusion for the current legal investigation in reviewing the DAZN deal... isn’t that common sense? The translator is really really good, very formal too. Whereas Gomez would usually rephrase things and make it seem better than what Canelo would actually say.

And the OP reaching like a Pacterd alt with these slow motion theories.

Canelo said DLH isn’t loyal. No one is blowing anything out of proportion.

Care to explain why Canelo brought his own interpreter to a presser for the first time ever?

I can’t wait for the spin on this one.

It’s ok to feel salty. The transcript was provided and nobody is talking about it, but you can bump it as much as you want. Fight night is near!

All I'm saying is, that interpreter needs more work. Someone else also hire her, translates perfectly word for word.

                    Salty about what?

Who cares about the transcript? Why did he bring his own interpreter?
