Kovalev vs Canelo: Tale of the Tape
Collapse
-
like the guy who interviewed Badou Jack said...
fighters/trainers are all saying that Canelo is in a REAL gunfight
only the bookies and casuals are heavily favoring him
Canelo is a stud for going after Kovalev
yes it is a calculated risk... but it is a BIG calculated risk
I have said it MANY times... the gameplan they used to nullify Hopkins was incredibly simple/effective... a similar gameplan should be even easier to implement on a smaller man like Canelo... countering that, Canelo has youth/speed and a style better suited to Kovalev, than Hopkins had
intriguing fight
Canelo UD12 in a MUCH tougher - and possibly controversial - fight... than everyone expected
I honestly think Canelo and his corner know that this will be a very tough fight... they are not taking Kovalev lightly at all, they will be 100% readyComment

1. Canelo is 5’8.
2. Canelo do not have as much power as Kovalev.
3. For all the people saying Kovalev can’t take body shots and Canelo will KO Kovalev is far from the truth. Kovalev has been taking punches from guys much larger than Canelo for his entire professional career. So let’s agree the power advantage goes to Sergey Kovalev.
4. Canelo has never fought anyone with the Height and Range with a great powerful Jab. Chavez and Fielding both didn’t execute the effectiveness controlling range and the Jab against Canelo which is why Canelo was able to just Walk threw them with constant pressure.
5. KOVALEV has a far better jab and boxing Abilities than Chavez Jr and Fielding.
Just my two cents. I got KovalevLast edited by Boxing101_; 10-30-2019, 09:12 PM.Comment
