I probably give Kovalev more points for his now excellent jab than his power. But there are other attributes. IMO many fans are writing off Sergey too soon. Politics may likely be in play here, and may indeed be the reason Canelo would get the W even if undeserved... but I'm sure he won't have an easy task vs Kovalev. He certainly won't have it easy trying to get inside. Very impressed with the improvements McGirt has brought into Kovalevs performance. This should be quite an intriguing fight.

Read my post again; where did I forget that? Whilst it was borderline, so more of an opinion, those blows were low, "Krusher" waited for the ref to intervene instead of firing back when/if ward fouled him.

So it's Kovalev's fault for not fouling Ward for fouling him? If the ref is as daft as he was to basically ignore the ball shots... how's Kovalev gonna know the ref won't keep being lame and take points from him for fouling Ward? This issue is on Ward... NOT Kovalev. And BTW, they weren't borderline.

Yes, kovalev should have done whatever he needed to do to even the score/stay in the fight. The fact that he didn't shows something about how much fight is in him when he's on the receiving end.
But maybe we just see different things and have a different perspective on kovalev's character? Hope you enjoy the fight Saturday. Thanks.
