Made it look very easy this weekend, but I wanted to see him go to another gear. He was clearly the superior boxer and was hurting Gallimore throughout the fight but didn't step on the gas. I also don't like how he just lays on the ropes sometimes and invites the opponent to get their shots off before countering back. He needs to stop doing that as that will hurt him if he was to fight someone like JRock.

But his skill level and variety of shots he throws is very good. The Sergio Garcia fight will be a solid test for him before getting a title shot.

Castano is the fight I'd love to see him get though.

I think Tony Harrison, should he beat Jermell legitimately this time, would be good for Lubin.

J-Rock would be a tough fight, I dont see Lubin winning that at this point.

He is a threat to any of them

but I would like to see him vs Tony Harrison because they both have an excellent boxing IQ although his power may be a bit better than Harrison's, chin may be about the same it's still in doubt. I would have to roll with my "D" boy though!

Yep, that would be a great fight. But I think Castano is lining up for a WBA mandatory. Either way, both him and Lubin aren't getting a title shot next since the winner of Charlo/Harrison II likely fights JRock on June of 2020. That was the original plan before Hurd turned down the JRock rematch but I don't see why that plan would change.

Lubin clearly has a winner mentality the way he took a crushing KO loss and showed no ill-effects and has made a nice run since his loss. And his skills are really up there with the elite at 154. His mental makeup and approach is second to none.

Yea he showed the great skills we knew he had, but also showed a decent chin vs a guy who can punch. Your right he did show some serious mental strength and did not look at all like he was gun shy. That being said its too early to say its "second to none" imo.
