RENO, Nevada Shakur Stevenson couldn't have been clearer Saturday night about what he wants next. Facing England's Josh Warrington would afford the 22-year-old Stevenson an opportunity to become a unified featherweight champion in just his 14th professional fight. That's the fight, more than any other opportunity, that'll motivate Stevenson to remain at the featherweight limit of 126 pounds.

I really hope this kid retires early. He is very, very boring.

He is the American version of Jorge Kahwagi

That’s the best path for him. He’s incredibly talented. I’m not the biggest fan of his style but it’s clear that he’s the best of the class. If he gets to unify va warrington, Berchelt should definitely be the next step. He should have little to no trouble with either

Berchelt drills this kid . Sorry. Takes him to deep water and drowns him with pressure. Walks through his punches and attacks his body with a vengence.

Stevenson is ambitious but calling for fights that are realistic to make, can see him achieving a lot, his attitude towards the sport impresses more than most young guys.

That would be a great fight and a big test early in his career.

                1st things 1st. Stevenson is not 5'8. He's 5'7.25 maybe .5 at most.

2nd Arum says a lot of crazy things to promote his guys but he knows what he's looking at and clearly he doesn't think Stevenson is ready for the elite at 130 just yet. He's about letting his fighters get experience at the pro level rather than moving them along so quickly which probably may be the right decision even If Stevenson is a super featherweight already which he is.

Hopefully Berchelt beats Stevenson up so badly he retired because he’s already super obnoxious.
