Comments Thread For: Shane Mosley Jr. Vows To Get On The Title Ladder in 2020

Shane Mosley Jr and Victory Sports and Entertainment, headed up by Mike Leanardi and Rick Torres have announced a long term partnership that will see Leanardi and Torres guiding the career of Mosley Jr going forward. Mosley Jr has boxing in his blood, with his father Shane, who's glittering career including world titles at 135, 147 and 154 titles and is a dead set future Boxing Hall of Famer. Mosley Jr, however, is looking to forge his own path in the professional fight game, and after 18 fights as a pro the Pomona native believes he is coming into his own as a professional.

As Shane Mosley clearly avoided 140 with prime Kostya Tszyu, at least make the sons fight for it, Tim Tszyu-Shane Mosley Jr, make it happen!

No sense in winning any titles. Your moms will sue you for them and take all your belts for herself

Jr. is limted but I applaud his desire

He just don't have enough roots as an amateur boxer to be able to challenge at the elite level. It's one thing to have the best trainers and a Hall of Fame dad but that does not equip you like experience does.

        I'm just saying

Interesting theory! Not saying it's not true, but Shane skipped 140 and faced Oscar. Pretty sure the Kostya fight would have paid way less. On top of that Shane was juiced up just to hang with Oscar, there was no going back down after that. IMHO Kostya never needed Shane, his career spoke for itself, and the Zab fight silenced any doubters. Kostya didn't pull a Sven Otke or even a Calzaghe, he retired with no unanswered questions.

Prime Mosley would've still beaten Tszyu. Mosley was smart. At the time the cash cow was De La Hoya. I don't blame him at all.

                    I love boxing fans.

Mosley jumped from lightweight to welterweight to fight De La Hoya, who only had a controversial loss to Felix Trinidad at the time.

De La Hoya was a top 5 p4p and was top 3 before the Trinidad fight.

This is now being spun as Mosley ducked Kostya Tsyzu lol.
