The world of boxing has changes quite a bit over the last few years. There are many new names showing their talent in the ring, different champions defending their titles, but it appears that the sweet science has continued to decrease in popularity. One thing is for sure though; it has gotten much easier to find boxing on television. ESPN2 now provides Wednesday Night Fights as well as their normal Friday Night Fights. OLN (Outdoor Life Network) will now have Fight Night live at least one Thursday night every month. FSN (Fox Sports Net) has their special boxing card every few months or so. But who provides the best quality matches of all the stations? Well, that is difficult to say. [details]

ShoBox is NOT pay-per-view, and never has been. Have you ever watched the show? Seems kind of ludicrous that someone supposedly in the know about boxing would repeat this error several times in the same article.
ShoBox started out on Thursday/Friday nights on Showtime 2, but as it became more popular it was elevated to the main channel, mostly on Fridays, sometimes on Saturday.

im surprised at how many people think boxing is a dying sport. while it may be fading in popularity, it is sooo easy to fix. Once boxing gets into serious trouble, it can be fixed in a matter of 3-5 years.
Make only one champion per weight class, take away PPV for a few years, allow other stations to replay old fights, and advertise on the cable for fights. they might lose money for a few years and then it'll slowly rise until they start earning MORE money.
Eventually ABC will telivise fights again, and before u know it we'll be back where we were about 10 years ago.
Everyone i know likes the concept of boxing, they just arent around it enought to get into it. It takes me a week to make a guy that watches boxing once a year into a hardcore fan of the sport. Not even kidding. i show them a gatti fight or 2, and then i show them corrales/castillo and then BAM. they watch it every weekendComment
