I think so. Earlier in his career he made mistakes and he didn't show the necessary heart so there were obvious things to work on. Against Povetkin and Chisora he's boxed to the best of his ability, he's gone down swinging instead of cowering in a corner, and it hasn't been enough.

with this and the Kuzmin fight it seems the idea is to go in there and try for a few rounds but then get out before being flattened. respect that it's a hard sport but no interest in seeing him get pulled out/quit again in 6 months vs another fringe contender. thought we might get a war but it was the sort of fight i doubt i'll ever rewatch
when he was undefeated he came forward with a hard jab and power shots. it was exciting. now he knows his chin, stamina will let him down he fights mostly in retreat with a weak jab, not good to watch even knowing his power could end things at any time, because it never actually has. he's never turned a fight around with power, once the opponent has a good round the outcome is set

Well, he's never gonna hit the top level, we all know that, but I'm not sure if his corner did the right thing throwing the towel in at the point they did. I think he might have been able to see out the round and that Chisora might have ended up gassing within the next couple of rounds. Price did sting him a few times so it was hardly a one-sided fight up until that point. I don't think he'd be making a wrong choice if he elected to hang them up now (people have been suggesting he do that for a long time now) but I think he still has a fight or two left in him at domestic level.

Scared of my misses, Love ones telling a man when it is time? A fighter should decide himself when it is time to stop.
David Price has a lot of earning potential, and is probably the 3/4th highest profile heavyweight in the country. I honestly think him and his team overshot the mark by taking this fight at 3 weeks notice, but I fully understand that it was a business move 'That was also why his trainer threw the towel in, as Price had already given a good account of himself and basically saved the show' in no way shape or form would his trainer of threw the towel in if they had a full training camp.
The positive's from the fight is that, Price is actually quite a durable fighter 'It is just his cardiovascular fitness which is his major weakness' if I was his trainer? I would really be thinking outside of the box for ways to improve that area of his game 'If you can get 100 year old people running marathon's, in some ways it is unacceptable the way his aerobic capacity seems to diminish so quickly'.
I don't think David Price should retire, he has a lot of ability and punching power. His team from this point onward need to not take fights at short noticed, he is not a eastern European fighter 'He is a Olympic Bronze Medalist, and former British and Commonwealth Heavyweight champion' if they are to continue? They need to sort their heads out when it comes to taking fights.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 10-27-2019, 06:42 AM.

You can’t really say he’s done when he’s simply NEVER been able to cut it at a decent level
He can still beat lower domestic fighters like Allen and can probably make a living doing that if he wants. No shame in that
They need to stop putting him in with anyone decent though, it’s a total waste of time.

I have to honest here.
Price is just terrible.
I wanted to believe he could make some kind of comeback but the guy just freezes under the lights against any type of quality opposition.
His best win is who?
Audley Harrison, Matt Skelton...Dave Allen?

Someone will get hurt unless Price does the right thing.
I feel for him.
These fights are no good for him.
He's not at world level.
