Does anybody see Beterbiev's boxing skills to be at a higher level than what they previously thought, after his stoppage win over Oleksandr Gvozdyk?

He did better than expected. But his style still has holes. Still unfinished but enough to get the job done. I think he was losing the fight until that last round. Gvozdyk played it wrong. Should have moved and clinched more instead of standing in front of him.

I thought he was getting outboxed a bit and his power bailed him out. Nothing wrong with that. Having that type of power makes a big difference if you know how to use it.

I just love the way Beterbiev stayed so calm cool and collective. Always kept his game face. Reminds me a little of Joe Louis vs. Billy Conn

Absolutely, after he got going he was showing more subtle wrinkles to his game that I never could’ve imagined that he has!

He was cutting off the ring well by instead of following Gvozdyk he put him in positions where he was crammed an had no choice but to “fight”!

I liked how he would actually bobbed and weaved and also change his level of angles and also fight out of the clinches!

His speed is also underrated, he’s not slow but he’s also not fast!

For me, the harder the opponent the more he’ll show more of what he can do!

He didn’t just overpower Gvozdyk but he also outwilled him in every facet including imprinting his skills in the ring!

No, he was exactly where I thought he was. He did a lot of highly skilled things that a lot of people didn't even notice, and he threw away early rounds knowing that his skill, technique and power were going to end Gvozdyk in the later rounds.

Despite scorecards I had Beterbiev leading and winning the fight. He has been always skilled if you ever saw him in amateur. The guy is super technical with perfect timing and absolutely tremendous power. He is nr1 at 175. He will be unbeaten for two years at least AND when he shows some weaknesses a "GOAT" clenelo will challenge him lol

Nope. He boxed the same. I just really thought Gvozdyk would have enough power to ko him but beterbiev is like a tank.

Dude is Hurd with more power and boxing ability. I had him down on the cards and picked him to lose but the way the fight was going I was telling my brother while we were watching that hes gonna ko Gvozdyk late round.
