I went to the Cotto/Malignaggi fight at the Garden, my tickets were $200 and I was really happy with my seats. I think the Quartey/Forrest fight is in the MSG Theatre which is smaller so maybe the seats will be even better. Check on MSG's website for a seating plan at the theatre.Comment

cool. looking forward to it. how many fights are their in ur typical garden fight? like 6? cause it says to be their at 7:00, but HBO doesnt air the ouma fight until 10:30. So is their a bunch of fights or will i just be waiting a hell of a long time?Comment

Anytime you get a chance to go to a live fight take it. These two were just on the outside while at their best; behind Trinidad, De La Hoya, and Mosley, even though Forrest beat Mosley twice....that's how close these two were to the golden fleece.Originally posted by kfootball15I was just wondering if anybody could give their opinions on the following questions. i wanna go to the fight and i wanna know if its gonna be worth the 105 bucks im gonna be spending
-Is this supposed to be an entertaining fight, or a bore?
-The co-feature (ouma vs powell), is that supposed to be exciting? sounds like a good fight...
-Who is fighting in the undercard, and anybody i should look out for?
-How old is both forrest and quartey? they've both been around a while...
-Anybody whose been in the garden for a fight, how are the $105 seats? the picture makes it look a little closer then i think it may be...
-Why is this fight not being promoted more? these 2 were among the biggest names in the sport at one point, and i havent heard a thing about it! is that because its supposed to be boring?
Forgive me for knowing so little about forrest and quartey, i have never really liked either of them and thus never watched either of them live ever.
Forrest is a counter-puncher more than anthing else; but has good power in the right. Quartey's got a helluva jab and a lot of guts, plus a good chin....so, this has the makings of what could be an exciting fight, depending on the hunger of both men at this stage in their careers. Unfortunately, it could also be boring, depending upon Quartey more than anything. If he presses the action, as he should, you'll have a good fight. If he looks to box with Forrest, not so much.
Still, both are good fighters and my gut tells me they're wanting to get back into the mix, which is why they're facing each other.
Go, if you can...it's worth $105 easy....if you're relatively close to the ring.
PS: Ouma and Powell should be a good fight too; I'd expect Ouma to win.Last edited by K-DOGG; 07-29-2006, 04:21 PM.Comment
