See, I don't care about a global sport anymore. I mean, you have baseball, hockey, basketball, football, UFC all based in the states and they run just fine. They recruit talent from other countries all the time. So it's not like no one else gets a chance. In the end I think it should be like the National Boxing League and **** all this world ****. The best have to fight the best. The show always goes on. Injured? Tough ****. Get a replacement. Too young doe? **** you. You get dropped in the ratings since you're not ready. Don't want to face the top contender? Fine. Your ass gets stripped then. Too many bull**** concessions are made for fighters and the best fights end up never happening or happening way way too late. This sport is a joke and probably the lowest it's ever been at this point as far as organization. Just pitiful.

      My list goes like...

Heavyweight- Fury (due to the lineal title)
      Cruiserweight- Idk
Light Heavyweight- Beterbiev (after his last performance - better/more impressive win than Kov's vs Yarde)
Super Middleweight- Callum Smith - agree
Middleweight- Vacant - would have said GGG but after the SD fight, we need more fights at MW to know who number 1 is.
Junior Middleweight- Lara - they all have flaws at 154 but Lara is still number 1 imo by default...none of the rest have done enough.
Welterweight- Now Crawford- would have been Spence
      Super Lightweight- Prograis
      Lightweight- Lomachenko
      Featherweight- IDK
      Bantamweight- IDK

How about it, boxing fans? Since the boxing world can't decide who is champ, can you?
Good post...I just added mine in to your original

Ha ha... maybe following the sport from outside the US gives you a different perspective, man, but as to the rest of it you're spot on. I know it's kinda pipe dreaming but ABA (formerly AIBA) managed to run international leagues for the ammys which ticked all those boxes... the difficulty is getting the crooks that run (and this ish has always been run by crooks) and profit from the pro sport to somehow give up their stranglehold. No idea whether that would be best implemented at a national level; or by some supranational initiative, or whether we're best off hoping that one of the power players like PBC or DAZN gain enough of the market share to set up a UFC like entity with what amounts to a monopoly on the top talent. I don't like that idea at all - I fkn hate monopolies as a matter of principle - but arguably it may be the most realistic solution to the current situation.

Edit: Ummm. I'd not run across this before...

Nice. I mean, I know each initiative and organisation set up to sort out the mess that is boxing has ended up just ****** into the same old spiral of bullchit and corruption, but there's always hope. Get enough national level organisations set up like this and cross co-operating i guess you could be on to something.

I'm no fan of monopolies either but I don't see any other way to have all the talent actually fight one another. If they're all under the same org or promotion, then they don't have a choice. Fight or duck and be shamed. Haha. I don't know, man. I just know it's ashambles as we speak. It's sad. But at the same time I could see one org for the top guys with other orgs for finding the talent. You have to go through the minor leagues to hit the big time. I think that's fair and makes sense. We'll see what happens. As for right now, it's a joke all the way around.

Guillermo Rigodeaux is the lineal champion at 122 so you should add him to your poll if possible.

Davis is also a "champion" at the weight if you recognize the bogus WBA belt. I don't. I have him at number 1 at lightweight.

This is my ranking. Make your own.

Lol it wasn't a ranking it was a who's champion and Tank hasn't even offiicially fought at light weight. He also hasn't got the bogus belt either, yet.

I didn't see Loma struggle with Pedraza either so you must be in some alternate reality and is still Tanks best win a level or two bellow Campbell, Linares, Walters, Russell etc.

I wish they'd fight instead of Tank and his team saying "we've got other plans" acting like cowards.
