Why are there people disliking/hating Haney?

He wants the P4P fighter to be in his prime when he's going to fight him, not when Loma's in decline while Haney is in his prime. Haney should be applauded for having so the ambition to put his 0 on the line.

The dude is young, he can take a loss and a learning experience would absolutely be HUGE for him in the Lomachenko bout. Haney should be touted unlike some others we could name (Tank Davis)

Haney is a great young fighter, with the right attitude and a good team around him. Dunno why anyone would be hating.

He's trying to take a seat not in his boat. 10 years - that's a damn big spread. Loma is not his generation..

Probably because he's acting like Loma is ducking him when he hasn't even had the opportunity of fighting him yet and hasn't even beaten a top 10 Lightweight

TBF I don't really get why guys hate on any fighters but it is what it is. Only thing I would say is some of these young guys should prove themselves a little more first... I mean yeah, it's good that Devin's looking to fight the best, but from the perspective of the guys at the very pinnacle of their profession (like Loma) there ain't really a great deal to be gained from fighting the latest Wunderkind before they've actually shown they're ready for the top flight.

We've all seen how it works - there's an never ending stream of guys who are gonna be 'the next big thing', but when tested only a very few live up to that promise... if you're a top end guy like Loma or whoever do you really want to be the guy whose legacy is the guy who kept picking on unproven kids who ultimately went on to achieve nothing? Tank's stagnating for my money, but the Pedraza win showed he's a credible opponent. Teofimo ain't deserving yet far as I'm concerned, but if he gets by Commey - especially if he does it in style - then he will be. Haney? Kid looks to have all the talent in the world, but until he's beaten someone a bit more credible that Abdullaev I can't see why Loma would entertain the idea... unless there's big money thrown at it I guess.

I agree with you. Every time there is a promising prospect, people start talking how the champions are ducking them. That makes 0 sense. Yes, those young guns look great but they must prove themselves against decent opposition before calling out the champion.

Because he looks like he's a gremlin with braces. IDK he just seems like a rich dude who smells his own farts like Mikey Garcia

S'Like they expect Champions to be doing the job of gatekeepers, man. I'm all for giving the top prospects a shot, but they need to at least prove they belong at the level first - and I ain't really talking about the skills. Devin's got talent oozing outta his ears, but sometimes these kids just fold when things start getting tough... let's just make sure he got a bit of grit before we start throwing him in with the elite.

He is acting like he is something special when he hasn't done much, acting like top guys are avoiding him, trying to rile people up. Sit the f down, kid.

Folks is *****es. Look at the post just above me. "The way he acts" Pretty much every boxers who is hated is hated because of the way he acts. Got to be one of the most feminine reasons to not like a fighter. " He did just bust that punk in the eye proper, but, him a **** so I's a hater." FFFFFF******.
