Dazn isn't offered in my region so maybe I wouldn't see it anyway but it doesn't seem like they actually do that much promotion huh?
As you point out with the money they are spending it would seem a no brainer to produce more content around them. Like a Canelo or GGG fight is costing them what, $15M - $30M for basically one hours content, surely $50K - $100K, maybe less for a couple hours of content around the fight leading up to it makes sense.
That seems to me to be what MMA does a lot better, not the fights but the ecosystem around it, the other content, the podcasts, interview shows etc. Half the boxing content that is around is just so pathetically amateur its embarrassing, maybe its a cultural thing but the 80s era mixtape graphics, zero production, split screens with dudes smoking blunts shilling for particular promoters, sweet jesus.
With the money in boxing why they don't spread a tiny fraction of it around a little more to produce more content and increase engagement is a mystery to me.
