I can understand wanting to start back up slow but this is a bit ridiculous. Does Kirkland plan on going all six rounds? Or will he blast him out in the opening round? Poor match making for this fight. There are plenty of opponents with the amount of fights as Kirkland but with losing records.

I wanna say I'm happy he's back, but, given the amount of brain injuries and deaths we've witnessed in the sport as of late, I wish some guys would just stay away.

He needs to stay away from all top middleweights at this point, but what can we do about it?

Any other time, most fans would bash a fighter for being shot and trying to come back for one more shot at glory, but the sport has become more and more dangerous nowadays.

Crazy that Boxrec has Kirkland at 31 on the LMW rankings. I wonder if Anne Wolfe will be in his corner.

I'm not interested in seeing James Kirkland, unless Ann Wolfe is training him.

Oh lord.... He shuda took things slow when he had his last big win instead of cashing out vs Canelo then going on another hiatus.

Looking back 50 did everyone he promoted dirty.

I had zero idea he was still serious about fighting.

This bum is still alive after the beating Canelo administered?

About the only thing pathetic about seeing a waay past prime fighter in the ring , are the folks who actually enable his being in the ring.

                    Pretty sure he is not!

He probably has little brain cells left to know any better.
