Is he worried about appearances or his gas tank and being able to get on his bike to get around Joshua's jab. I don't see how him losing 10 plus pounds of fat is going to hurt him.

You're assuming that "10lbs." is the goal.

I agree with Bradley on this one. I think Ruiz in his "normal" fighting weight works more confidently. He's been fighting with that weight for quite a while, and was comfortable in it. I don't like a major change in weight going into this fight.

I had Ruiz confidently re-working his magic in the rematch. With a drastic weight loss I think it opens a lot of doors for Anthony Joshua. Joshua too, however seems to be losing a lot of weight as well. If this holds true for both fighters on fight night, I'm not sure anyone will really know what to expect.

The only current HW to fight with drastic changes in weight has been Wilder. He got away with it (ill from the flu) in the Ortiz fight, but I thought it had a major effect on his effectiveness and strategy in the Fury fight.

We'll have to see how dropping drastic weight plays out in the Ruiz/AJ II. I still favor Ruiz to win again, but I think he has opened up the door for a much tougher fight. Perhaps even a loss. We'll see.
