Call me crazy but I think Bivol will win 175 crown over Beterbiev.

Beterbiev is good at adapting to each opponent accordingly.

beterbiev was getting outboxed when Gvozdyk was being elusive. For whatever reason Gvozdyk started walking Beterbiev down that's when Beterbiev started counter punching, going to the body and started winning. He couldn't touch Gvozdyk's body in the first few rounds.

    Gvozdyk wanted to prove something.

it will be a different fight with Bivol. Beterbiev is noticeably slow and stiff btw. i don't even think he's faster than Joe Smith.

Seems like Beterbievs skills are underated on here ?

I see Beterbiev having a very educated jab , very good timing and good all around skills ( as his amateur career proves ).
Only person I see beating him is Father time. The guys a beast.

I think Gvozdyk stopped moving away from Beterbiev because he knew Beterbiev wasn't gona stop. Also Gvozdyk was out boxing him in those middle rounds but Beterbiev was getting his body shots in, its easy to question/criticize why a fighter changes a strategy that seems to be working when its not you in there. I think the body work affected Gvozdyk's movement. He fought back head on because he had no choice. Beterbiev makes up for a speed disadvantage with tenacity and strategy. Beterbiev is no Smith...

If Canelo gets through Kovalev, I think he can take Beterbiev. Beterbiev is good but I think he left a lot of openings Canelo could have capitalized on.

In terms of beterbiev and Bivol. I say beterbiev would win. Honestly, I think it's funny that everyone was saying Kovalev was the weakest when the rest of LHW champs are no where close to elite level. Sure Kovalev is declining but he's proven himself more than any other active LHW.

Beterbiev started landing body shots BECAUSE Gvozdyk was walking him down in the mid rounds. he abandoned what worked. he was trying to prove something.

Beterbiev landed early then Gvozdyk started with movement but Beterbiev kept landing some good shots. Then Gvozdyk abandoned his footwork because he was getting hurt to the body. When he stood and fought Beterbiev started landing flush shots. Its all strategy, Beterbiev knows he has power and knows how to use it. He is a methodical fighter.

he didn't land to the body early.

But he looked sloppy at times and Showed imo he has limited boxing skills.
We all knew he great on the inside and very strong but his defence as well as jab and footwork look weak and his movement look sloppy still very dangerous for anyone at 175 thoe but Bivol showed he has all the tools.
Nope. Bivol is overrated as ****. He's one dimensional also. Beterbiev would stop him.

He was only getting outboxed some early rounds. Beterbiev's game plan was clearly not to try to outpoint gvozdyk. He knew he was soft.

I was the the Bivol/Smith fight. Bivol got stung pretty good late. It would be interesting to see if he could avoid the power of Beterbiev for twelve rounds. On paper it looks like a great matchup. Hopefully it will happen next year after the Fanlong fight.
