You can't patty punch and cruise your way into 12th round with King Artur... That's basically what Bivol has been doing in his last few bouts... Unless something dramatically changes in his skill set he would meet his faith the same way Gvozdyk did.... On attrition...

But all this is just hypothetical... Bivol wants nothing of what he saw last night...

he is not an elite mover and he is long, fights tall, making him a big target for the body attack.

Bivol has higher ring IQ than Beterbiev. he has taken less damage against better competition up until Gvosdyk.

Beterbiev's style lends him to take punishment and risks.

but the problem is Gvozdyk was walking Beterbiev down exactly like how Dorticos was walking Gassiev down. it was like he wanted revenge and fought emotionally and dumb. Both punchers were being walked down and wore their opponents down to the body then eventually won by sensational TKO.

Unless Gvozdyk made a statement early I was confident Artur would prevail... But Gvozdyk was never able to put doubts in Beterbiev's mind despite being in his best form ever... Same will happen with Bivol when/if that fight happens... He will get him, dance around him, probably win some early rounds... I doubt he can punish him enough to put doubt in his mind though...

But yeah... I'm happy for you to root for Bivol... He's an Elite too...
