Artur Beterbiev’s skills is very underrated

Beterbiev just showed that he’s not just a plodding, one dimensional puncher. The guy is a thinking killing machine. The way he patiently broke down a skilled boxer like Gvozdyk was skillful stuff.

It's deceptive. He was changing levels whenever Gvozdyk tried to jab from a distance. He would bait Gvozdyk by trying to throw a short jab, and once Gvozdyk commits to a long jab from the distance like what Teddy wanted, Beterbiev was already coming in with the big right hand to the body.

It looked like Beterbiev is just up and down with his extreme aggression, but there is so much little things on the inside that you don't see.

He’s a guy who doesn’t waste movement or punches, everything is with purpose and reason!

Add to the fact that he admitted he didn’t train very hard for this fight should let everyone at 175 know they need to up their game!

I think if Gvozdyk had faster footwork and a stronger clinch he may have won but no excuses!

You would’ve gotten Gvozdyk killed earlier and suffered more damage, you don’t trade with a big puncher like Beterbiev unless you have more power and if you hurt him first!

I thought Gvozdyk had him hurt twice in the fight but Beterbiev just kept coming forward, that’s just scary for the opposing fighter when you have a guy hurt and he keeps coming forward dishing out damage!

It was obvious from the get go that Beterbiev did more damage per Shot.... He had to be wise because, you know, it's Gvozdyk after all... After the 8th round he felt that Gvozdyk was letting go, unable to sustain the pain anymore... That was it...

I think Beterbiev showed tonight that he is a world class pro. Very impressed with him, with both guys actually. Very good fight.

great power, nice hand speed, great timing, great stamina, but he doesn't move his head very well and he's there to be hit. Someone like Tarver, Kovalev, or Foster in their prime with one punch ko power would dent his chin. I love his aggressive style, but that WOULD NOT WORK with other big punchers. I would have loved to see a fight between him and Glenn Johnson though.
