Because Arum has a history of being hard to work with. Look at his history. He lost 2 of the biggest ppv stars of all time(De la hoya, Mayweather), Garcia left, Manny left to join Haymon, and he has the top 2 pfp boxers in the sport on his roster and neither are household names to the casual fan. I'm not taking Haymon's side becuase I'm a fan of fighters, not promoters, but why is this a pattern?

I just want the best fights possible. And when promoters or boxers hide behind their promoters and refuse to make those MEANINGFUL fights, then shame on them and shame on anyone who supports that bs. More specifically those that make the excuse "well he shouldnt have signed with so and so" ARE part of the problem. So are you a real boxing fan or are you a supporter of bs excuses?
I want to see the best fights too. I'm not a fan of promoters. I've never heard Al Haymon speak. But we all thought it would be a good thing when King was ran out of boxing, but Arum is just as bad. The thing with King is that, he jerked his fighters, but he didn't jerk the fans. When you saw a Don King card, you knew you were going to see some fireworks leading up to the main event. Arum's cards just put us to sleep

Arum's cards ARE horrible. Don King, for all his underhanded ways, put on the BEST cards ive ever seen in my life...sometimes 6 championship fights on 1 card! But, Haymons cards are just as dull, usually a bunch of showcases. The Porter/Spence card was a lil better than the usual pbc cards tbh. Dazn has horrible cards too! Which brings me back to my point, these promoters are wack af. If they worked together, thered be better offerings. I get it that some cards are for their up and comers, but when it comes to their top fighters/champions, theres no need for lackluster opponents

You named four boxers that left and two that you don’t think he’s made big enough stars.

Bob Arum has been a boxing promoter since 1966.

So... not a bad record, right?

I named 3 of the biggest ppv stars of all time. It's bad to lose 1 star, but you 3 of the biggest money generating fighters of all time and you think that's not bad? hahahaha. Not one, but THREE???? Floyd, Manny, or DLH at their height of popularity could have fought any one of us on this site and did major numbers. This would be the equivalent of one record label losing MC Hammer, Eminem, and the Beastie Boys hahaha.

There are plenty of fighters at 147, Garcia doesn’t currently have a dancing partner, porter is available..

Or he can just give up his WBO belt and fight Abdukakhorov, Abdukakhorov is holding the mandatory to Spence on the IBF side

Just because you challenge somebody doesn't mean they say yes. Look at the guys Munguia has been fighting. How does Adams figure into any title fight? He has no title. Crawford is a natural welterweight so fighting above his correct weight is asking for trouble. 7 pounds does make a difference in middle sized men.

If Crawford moved up, he would be the mandatory for the WBO because he’s the WBO champion at the weight class directly below 154.

Adames is the current mandatory challenger to Munguia so if Munguia moved up when Crawford did, Crawford-Adames would decide the new champion.
