Fans may not like the decision Crawford made but imo it was a no brainer. When someone wants to overpay you well before your contract is up you have to seriously consider it.

Crawford has a family and this is his job. He made the best decision for him and them.

Wow. Crawford has to pay 2 promoters, trainer, sparring partners, manager, abs sanctioning fees? Plus taxes. If I were him , I’d be fighting 6 tines a year just to get free.

With the money in boxing when Bud woulda been a free agent there is NO DOUBT in my mind he could of secured a better paying deal with Eddie on DAZN or Al on Fox/Showtime if he had tested free agency that would have netted him more money with this 15% or w/e that goes to some 2nd promoter.

I think he was likely of two main mindsets to not test free agency.

1)This is a sketchy ass business. I see plenty of appeal in sticking with the devil you know if you had a bad situation & are now in a good one even if you could imagine it being any better.

2)I think TR is an extremely vindictive promotion. They seem to really go hard at throwing out negative sh^t about you if you break away. Maybe Bud thinks TR has some spin that could massively hurt his value if TR started bringing it up all the time or just doesnt wanna deal with that sorta bs.

Crawford took the safe guaranteed money just like Bradley did. Which for Crawford was a mistake, the dude is a star. Bob has shown he doesn't know what to do with great black fighters. He pushing his euro fighters real strong, and Crawford is like 4th in his stable.
