And? He was meant to fight Povetkin and Ustinov at HW but he pulled out of both citing political reasons.

Perhaps, you should be the one to do your homework, Mr Romanian Popescu. Thought you'd be like Gheorghe Hagi and Dan Petrescu but you're not like them. Sad.

The thing with will all the Caucasians is that they have a cultures, languages and customs completely foreign to that of the titular "Russian" one.

***** dumps a ton of money to keep "peace" in the region, the moment that money stops flowing the Caucasus region will quickly change allegiance.

Fun fact, Habib actually tried to get Ukrainian citizenship when he fought there.

But it was really sad to read that first paragraph in this day and age. Its almost 2020 and the writer is still, TILL THIS DAY!, trying to paint some idealistic soviet picture of the region.

First step to true brotherhood and peace is the recognition of the differences between people, between cultures and languages...you keep pushing that rhetoric and this will go nowhere.

And lastly stop pushing the language bit...Grammatical similarity does not actually mean that people understand each other. Russian speakers DO NOT understand the Ukrainian language.

          Dispelling lies TILL THIS DAY!

Keep feigning ignorance, Popescu. You’re not that smart.

And which country isn’t diverse with a lot of different cultures? Perhaps, China since they’re over 90% one culture and Somalia.

The US also so many diverse cultures. So why must you lot always only point that out when it comes to other countries but not your own country? A lot of you yanks are just ignorant and dumb. These people are Russians and they’re proud to be. Heck, when you meet them, they’re most times more nationalistic than ethnic Russians, especially the Chechens that aren’t Islamists, Ossetians and those from South Eastern Russia that look Asian. A lot of them form substantial part of the Russian military and they’re some of the most vicious Russians. They also form a bulk of the Russian military mercenaries that are fighting outside Russia to protect Russian interests.

These people are more proud to be Russians than black Americans are proud to be Americans. Stop talking out of your fu..cking arse.

He flew to Russia this past July to personally accept an award from the Russian Boxing Federation for his pro run. Listen to his speech upon receiving the award, it may change your opinion on who he sides with.

Chechens are just waiting for the opportunity to stick a dagger into a Russian pig. Glory to Dudaev.

Lmao, Beterbiev is not Russian(ruski), he just happens to have russian citizenship at best. He is a chechen and no chechen thinks of themselves as a Russian(ruski).

Ukrainians and Russians are general very similar people, minor differences exist, of course, but they are made glaring due to politics.

Also, there is a gradient from west to east in ukraine; the further west you go, the more 'ukrainianized'(polonized?) the population the further east the more russian. Lviv is overwhelmingly ukrainian speaking, Kharkov russian speaking.
