NO an Alcoholic wouldn't be able to stop drinking to work out and make weight so NO you cannot categories Spence Jr as an Alcoholic. Does he Party and Drink in between fights? Yeah CLEARLY! I've personally tested - on many occasions - and can validate the old adage that God does indeed love drunks and small children.

But there is also actually a degree of scientific physiology behind it too, as a muscle relaxant alcohol will often allow the body to be less rigid in situations involving physical trauma - falls, RTAs and so on, which can help reduce the damge sustained in such situations even if you're far more likely to get in that kind of sc**** when you are drunk. At least that's how the Doctors at A&E (the ER I believe it's known as over the water) have explained it to me... more than once.
