"For me it is not a challenge to fight with a UFC fighter , but (I would do it) if it represents good business," said Canelo in a talk with TUDN.

Canelo emphasized that both disciplines are very different and that is why it would not be a challenge for his career.

He explained that UFC fighters are trained in a completely different style of stand-up fighting, and that inexperience makes them very vulnerable against a legitimate boxer.

"[Mixed Martial Arts fighters] do not present a challenge, nor a risk, because the styles and the way of fighting are very different, it's as if you are fighting with a street fighter," Canelo said.

There are two major problems with Canelo fighting a UFC fighter. 1) He couldn't promote it like Mayweather and McGregor because of the language barrier and 2) and this is the big one... the fight would be over against any UFC fighter in 1 round because he wouldn't carry his opponent and let it be a show like May did.

Why is the discussion always about dragging a ufc fighter into a boxing ring? I love boxing,but if these guys really wanted to prove themselves, they'd step into the octagon. When you force a ufc fighter to box,you take away his kicks,knees,elbows,and his entire ground game. A boxer in the octagon would still have his boxing,but would have to contend with all other aspects of mma. By all means,if an mma fighter mouths off and disrespects boxing,his ass deserves to be humbled,but beating a guy who throws punches like a little kid is nothing to brag about.
