World welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr is released from hospital but faces a charge of driving while intoxicated after a high-speed crash in Dallas.
"No broken bones, I'm a savage!!" Yeah not really the best statement to be making after such a serious crash, especially while drunk, this makes me think he wont learn his lesson and mature.Comment

No shock there, I think we all kind of assumed he had a few too many.
The guy is lucky to be alive, hopefully he learns from his mistake and doesn't put himself or others in danger like that ever again.Comment

What an idiot. There are guy in prison for doing the exact thing he did. Savage isn't the right word, dumbass is.Comment

Contestant #1 up to the plate. You’re obviously guilty as charged as the first to interject your wisdom onto these boards. You’ve never hung out or known a pro athlete have you? I’ve known boxers, MMA fighters, swimmers and ball players. Most have spent their entire lives since their teen years training. In some cases 2-3 times a day everyday for years. And when I say train I mean train. This is all they do and nothing else.
Most are socially awkward and have also been under a spotlight, from their trainers, to the public, to so called friends and family pushing them from behind as well.
29? Means absolutely nothing when it comes to a pro athlete. When one decides to finally have a little fun after a little success some do childish things. They blow off a little steam after years and years of pressure of being ridden from teen to adult having never experienced what we’d consider a normal life. Walk a mile in their shoes then come back and report that experience. Do I condone what he’s done? Hell no it was a bad choice. But let’s please step off that pedestal you’ve placed yourself on. The one that anoints you the saint of errorless youth.Last edited by Boxingfanatic75; 10-17-2019, 06:08 AM.Comment

It comes from folks not satisfied with the failure in their own lives so to feel better they trash someone who is successful from the anonymity of a keyboard.Comment

Above .08, yet below .15 isn't a shot and two beers, but it definitely wasn't drinking the way certain folks on here want to insinuate.
No idea from how far he was driving, but the BAC national chart for someone about Spence's size would put him at having about 5-6 drinks in his system.
So yeah, Spence really isn't out here drinking like that.Comment

that's the mindset of a lot of young African americans. look at guys like broner and floyd who would always brag about their "0" when something bad happens to them. they'll be like so what im still undefeated. that's the mindset of a lot of these guys.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/50078926
