Oleksandr Gvozdyk will take a similar approach Friday night that he did December 1. When Gvozdyk faced Adonis Stevenson, he knew he had to box Stevenson cautiously because the powerful southpaw was very capable of knocking him out with one punch. Gvozdyk's discipline 10 months ago enabled him to remain in position to knock out a fatigued Stevenson (29-2-1, 24 KOs) in the 11th round of their fight for Stevenson's WBC light heavyweight title at Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Canada.

A very poorly promoted fight by Top Rank. There was no open workout. There is no final press conference. Just the weigh in and the fight. Hearn is right that Arum is poor in promoting their fighters.

Are you here to talk about promotion or the actual fight itself?

Good card. Collazo vs. the Uzbek is interesting as the Uzbek could be lining himself up for a Crawford fight next year and Gvozdyk-Beterbiev is an exciting matchup.

I just bet a few Euros on a draw to try and get some quick cash, but my inkling is that Gvodzyk may finally break Beterbiev's knockout spell and win the fight, one way or another.

Translation of the article: Gvozdyk will try to be at the end his jab the whole night... Might work out to extend his fight but the outcome is written in the sky... Beterbiev by TKO or RTD mid-rounds...

This fight deserves more pub as it’s a unification between two undefeated champions!

It’s getting no televised promotion on ESPN at all even no online advertising!

Both fighters are always in exciting fights and yet Bob has failed to promote this properly!

The best thing about it is that it’s on free tv ESPN so can’t complain that much but just would like both guys get the recognition they deserve for stepping up and putting it all on the line!

My money is on Gvozdyk by 10th round TKO in a very exciting fight which see’s him visiting the canvass but surviving an picking Beterbiev apart, piece by piece!

                Can’t wait!

                  Boxing corruption in plain sight

"Gvozdyk, who was down on two of the three scorecards when he stopped Stevenson"

Such BS. Just shows who they would have scored the fight for if Gvozdyk didn't knock him out to the hospital rehabilitation.

Gvozdyk should prevail with discliplined boxing

If Gvozdyk boxes as he did with Stevenson he should win.
But Stevenson and Beterbiev are very different punchers.

Beterbiev doesn't rely on a single punch like Stevenson.
He is more varied. I thinkhe needs to close the distance to do damage. So a firefight is good for him (most cases).

Gvozdyk is very skillful and showed a lot of discipline following Atlas' intructions.

I remember Atlas' work with Gvozdyk was given a seal of approval by Usyk/Loma.
