It's both the trainer and fighter who are responsible for dealing with that crap. I watched the Derevyanchenko
fight twice and both times I was surprised at the lack of retaliation from Golovkin and his corner. If Manny was in that corner Derev never would have got away with the fouling with no response. If the corner won't deal with it then the fighter has to do something on his own. That includes head butting, foot stomping and low blows.

Totally agree.
I'm very surprised GGG didn't retaliate with some low blows of his own.
I suppose you could say he did get a little dirty with his rabbit punching but just thought he would have been more aggressive about it all.

That said, anyone can be hurt with the right body shots, or in the case of Kovalev v Ward, shots to the wang.

This notion comes from Kovalev complaining about body shots to the belt line earlier in the fight vs. Ward. Plus JDJ keeps barking that Kovalev can't take it to the body and he was his trainer for a long time.

His loss to Alvarez began with a borderline body shot too. I don't know if it hurt Kov but he looked like he was about to complain about it and got rocked.

Funny, I remember the right hand that seriously hurt Foldalev BEFORE any “potential” low blows or borderline body shots hit him. It was the same right hand that Alvarez hurt him with in their 1st fight. It is the same right hand that Canelo will land before stopping him. Foldalev is not only suspect to the body, but his chin is suspect too (see below). This guy makes up more stories then Donald Chump.
