So hating on Usyk is the new wave huh?

Golovkin is old, Kovalev is old...so you guys are looking for a new Soviet to hate on because he threatens your favourite fighters?

How pathetic. Usyk looked the same as he always did. Have you guys actually seen any of Usyk's fights?
He schools and outboxes his opponents when he wants to and sometimes goes for the KO. That's exactly what he did in this fight. The only difference is that he is a bit more conservative with his punches now and defensively orientated. He went for the KO in the last round and made his opponent quit in the corner. He walked a man down who was about 30lbs bigger to me. I saw nothing you could hate on.

So why is there this new found hate? I've seen idiots say he is clout chasing Wilder when Usyk has a way better resume than him. Usyk has proven he wants to fight the best and that's why he is calling out Wilder, he wants to become world champion at Heavyweight and prove people wrong. Don't forget he won every belt at Cruiserweight in his opponents backyard.

I think it's simply because of fear. People, especially Wilder fans, are afraid for him. They are afraid he might school Wilder for 12 rounds or beat Joshua/Ruiz. So they try to downplay him like he is not a threat, even when he does everything right in his Heavyweight debut.
These guys are not boxing fans, they are groupies. Y'all make me sick.

The haters, and if you look at the names of the posts you will see that its EXACTLY the same old names you see hating on other none PBC fighters, never had a problem with Usyk until he moved up to Heavy and mentioned Beyonce Wilders name. We saw the same with Joshua, there wasnt much negative stuff said about Joshua until the day he became a threat to Wilder and then the hate came flooding in.

Its quite simple, the Usyk hate was always coming from the moment he said he was moving up to Heavy. Usyk ticks a whole 5 boxes which means he needs to be hated on by the PBC tards on here. Like its their job or something.

      1. He is not signed up to the PBC.
      2. He is not American.
      3. He is a threat to Deontay Wilder.
      4. He is signed up to Hearn and DAZN.
      5. He is white.

Yes number 5. There is nothing wrong with being pro black and being in love with uncle Al but being pro black doesnt mean you have to be anti white. Just try to be pro Boxing like the rest of us.

I don't hate Usyk, I am just being sceptic. I've seen some of his fights and appreciate his skills, however, he does seem to be physically too weak for HW. Granted he might win and outbox smaller/weaker HW figthers bit I doubt he will last 10 rounds with a big strong heavy puncher.
Let us all see his first few fights in HW and then we shall be sure that he could fight for belts in HW. Pairing him with Wilder or Joshua or Ruiz in his first HW fight is ridiculous and unfair for other pretendents who wait too long for their chances.

Tall Trees Catch The Most Wind

It's nothing new, the more a fighter grows in popularity the more fans and more haters they get, it's normal. Usyk is awesome, but I would suggest for some of his new fans to slow it down a bit - in this modern era everyone is looking for this new mythical beast that destroys all his opponents effortlessly - sorry, but it ain't happening. Usyk is a very good fighter, but I wouldn't put him in the same league skill-wise as Lomachenko (as some do), nor would I elevate him to the status of someone legendary like Manny/Mayweather.

Honestly speaking he should have some good fights at HW, I'm not expecting him to beat the top guys though. People talk about Holyfield, but I think David Haye makes a better HW than Usyk because of the power factor. I give him almost zero chance of beating Fury, AJ is a too strong IMO and fundamentally sound, Ruiz can crack...though he doesn't have the best movement and Wilder....well Wilder is just dangerous - though I think Usyk has the most chance against him.

We really need to see Usyk against Parker, Povetkin, Whyte, Chisora IMO, though he is next in line to face Ruiz/AJ winner (AJ takes the rematch)

Was it unfair for Terence Crawford to fight for the WBO title at Welterweight at his first fight there? Nope. So why is it for Usyk? They should be held to the same standard as both were undisputed in the weight class below and those are the rules

I think it's perfectly fine when you consider someone like Usyk would be the best win on Wilders resume...

Did Breazeale deserve a shot? Nope. Did Stiverne deserve a shot in that rematch? Hell no. If these guys are getting title shots people should have no problem with Usyk getting one. They aren't bending the rules for anyone.

What a good post. Yes time is going to tell with Usyk. Im sure it wont take much time to find out though as Usyk wont take long in hunting down those bigger names.
