I've got Beterbiev though, like every boxing fan in Canada likely does.
I'm in Canada too. I'm picking Gvozdyk.....,but it's a difficult pick to make with any certainty.

He was dropped bad in the first round against a light puncher in Karpency

Stevenson also had him out on his feet and ready to go. Adonis just didn't jump on him right away if I remember properly

Been my top 3 fights for the second half of the year. Beterbiev is getting up there in age and hasn't been that active, but if he still has it, I'm taking him to possibly stop Gvozdyk.

yet Beterbiev is more fresh having fought in May, with Gvozdyk bot fighting since March (And Hot Rod was a far better opponent than Ngumbu)

I respected his resume and his power was evident, but I always thought he was one of these former Soviet block fighters who are just much older, stronger, experienced etc. Also thought he looked a little crude at times against Usyk and the Chinese fighter (Zhang I think) that beat him in Beijing. It was only when he turned pro and destroyed Cloud in like his third fight, that I really was like WOW this guys a beast! In hindsight that amateur resume is very impressive.
              - Gvodzyk
              - Kovalev
              - Egan
              - Dorticos
              - Hunter etc.

I agree on Beterbiev not being chinny, the Page KD was just balance wasn’t even hurt and then Johnson (who can punch) caught him flush and put him down, he was definitely buzzed but he recovered pretty quick, certainly no signs of being chinny based on that.

One thing that would worry me if was in Gvodzyk’s corner is he sometimes tends to go back in straight lines, which isn’t a good idea against Beterbiev.

I do think Gvodzyk has the better technique, faster feet and can control distance better. I think Gvodzyk controls the fight at long range, but if Beterbiev backs him up, he could be in trouble.
Gvozdyk won't throw 1000+ shots and connect for 300+ of them in a 12 rounds bout... That's Beterbiev territory ... Technique is an elusive thing to judge... They are both different in style, and both at the top of their game...

If Beterbiev is in A+ condition and state of mind, Gvozdyk won't have any answer for that volume and that kind of Power... And I think of Gvozdyk as an Elite fighter...

Beterbiev is just that good at what he does... Most underestimate the Quality of his Boxing abilities fight after fight...

He ain’t chinny , but like you said he gets caught but recovers quickly and comes back in force
Gvozdyk can’t fight going backwards and that will be his downfall
Your absolutely right about him going back straight
He will overwhelm him , just maul him
Best thing that could happen to Beterbiev is him getting hurt like in the second round
Every time he gets hit with a good shot , he just comes back so much harder
Not sure what it is but it’s like that shifts his gears , he wants to just knock you out
I was at the Cloud fight , that was pure power
And he’s improved tremendously since then

I’m not saying Beterbiev has poor technique or anything, cause he’s very well schooled, and I agree that a lot of people underestimate his skill set. I just think Gvodzyk has more dimensions in terms of boxing ability.

Beterbiev has the better volume but I wouldn’t question the engine of either fighter tbh, both have shown they remain capable in the later rounds.

Yeah that Cloud fight was a major statement. He seems to have that terminator mode about him where he just flips a switch and looks to just walk through his opponent, seek and destroy style.
