What’s the difference between the Spong and Whyte situations?

There’s only two possible answers:

Whyte was the Hearn fighter in a Hearn promotion so his issue was buried. Spong wasn’t the Hearn fighter so he got in trouble.

OR

The fight was in the United States and the Illinois State Athletic commission wasn’t willing to bury a scandal the way whoever’s in charge in the UK was willing too.

Whyte failed a drug test and passed a VADA test after the fact. Spong also passed VADA tests after he failed one.

Both failed a test and passed a later test. Yet Whyte is “cleared” and Spong isn’t.

The difference is transparency. If Whyte's test had been publicly known before the fight the fight would've been cancelled. You gotta realize we were never supposed to find out about Whyte failing a test. If not for the info being leaked we wouldn't know

I don’t think anyone is dis*****g those facts, you ask for reasons, am speculating that maybe it’s because it’s VADA caught spong and didn’t catch Whyte (Those are facts too.)

Whyte was “cleared” because he wasn’t caught under VADA, he was caught by UKAD, USADA has to have caught spong then gets cleared by a panel to fight to compare it perfectly.
