          Why would they keep someone in intensive care for broken teeth? I think Di Bella doesn’t have all the details

            Doesn't seem right. And full recovery health wise doesn't mean he could ever box again. Not saying he can't, but I rather wait until we get more details.

            If it is just broken teeth, then this man was beyond blessed this morning. Heck, just him making a full recovery period is amazing.

                I work in the ICU. Clearly many of you guys don’t. There are at least three reasons to keep someone in the ICU after a crash like that.

                1) Internal injuries that are too small to show up clearly on scans but become problematic in 24-48hrs.

                2) A brain bleed that is delayed and again doesn’t show up on scans till the bleed extends.

                3) Your body goes into shock and sometimes crashes as it comes out of it.

                Protocol is to stabilize for 1-2 days then a step down unit for another day or two. Repeat scans and then discharge after mobility is assessed.
