He’s a professional athlete who did a video interview while intoxicated. That’s clearly a sign of being an alcoholic.

Someone who didn’t have substance abuse issues would never think it was okay to talk to the press while drunk.

And ICYMI, he just totaled his Ferrari instead of using a ride sharing app to get home. That’s another thing someone who didn’t have substance abuse issues would never do.

Yet he’s managed to appear drunk on camera and crash his car while drunk.

He’ll probably get mandated to attend AA because the court system knows that only alcoholics do the kind of thing he did with that Ferrari.

That's very little evidence to label someone an alcoholic. I doubt he drinks every day and has to have it. So move along onto something else..

He's young, rich, successful and (relatively) famous. Let the man live his life and enjoy himself while he can, otherwise what's the point in sacrificing his health to such a barbaric sport in the first place?

If he likes to party in between fights, so be it. He's not the first fighter to do so and he won't be the last. That alone doesn't make him an alcoholic and nor does driving whilst drunk, an act which whilst ****** and dangerous is committed all the time by people who are not alcoholics. It's called a bad decision and we all make them from time to time.

Enjoying a drink and needing it as a dependency just to function through everyday life are two entirely different things, and until we see evidence of the latter there's no basis for labelling him an alcoholic.

WTF? If I had to guess who was an alcoholic, I'd pick you long before I chose Spence. Even if you are the most credentialed alcoholisn expert in the world I don't think you can determine alcoholism before you get the toxicology reports back because there may be no alcohol or drugs or less than the threshold for DUI n his system at the time of the accident .

If he was drunk he def needs to quit and a program to help him, but rari’s and lambos have a different type of steering you’re supposed to take a class before driving them a lot of people crash them who don’t know how to drive them you can’t jump to conclusions yet.

Real alcoholics who get sh.ithoused every day can drive their car without crashing. I'm positive that Spence is a lightweight and probably just a weekend warrior/part-time drinker. There are levels to this!
