  • Comments Thread For: Bivol Wants Unification, But Ready To Move Down For Big Fight

By Thomas Gerbasi - Dmitry Bivol laughs when I compliment him as the most patient man in boxing. "The most patient? Why?" Well, this was supposed to be the breakout year for the WBA light heavyweight champion, a star on the rise with the unbeaten record to go along with it. But when he steps into the ring at Wintrust Arena in Chicago this...

I feel 175 has a great 18 months or so. Bivol will get a few big fights if he waits it out. This division is just warming up.

We dont hear much from Gilberto Ramirez, is he ready yet for Bivol, where is he? The guy with 40 fights fought 40 y.o Abraham and Jesse Heart 2 times, thats all, still to fight an elite and prime boxer, 40 fights for christ sake

Feed? I'm not so sure he beats either. I would like to see both fights but to think Bivol would tear through Canelo or Callum is foolish.

I agree, but I have a bad feeling Bivol will get the Andrade treatment. I hope I'm wrong, but he's going to have to go to 168 hoping to get good fights and most will avoid him like the plague.

He doesn't seem to punch through the target like karate guys taking up boxing, but he's skills can't be denied. I may be wrong about his punches, it could just be that he doesn't sit on his punches so no weight transfer etc..

Zurdo Rameriz moved up for bigger fights. Zurdo is available and ready from what I've been reading. I think Bivol and Rameriz have alot in common. Both are avoided like the plague. If any two deserve to face each other it's these two. It would make a great fight!

Bad year for him, he should fight zurdo next (like a few have mentioned) then either the Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk winner. Kovalev if he somehow gets past canelo or as a last resort Callum smith. Smith may even accept a catchweight

I'm already licking my lips in hope to see Bivol against the winner of Beterbiev vs. Gvozdyk. Then we'll see who's who at 175. And I actually believe Canelo will beat Kovalev.

Kovalev, despite his 2 loss is a good boxer. He is a pure puncher/boxer.
If B-Hop couldn’t hurt him and B-Hop’s style is really messy and cagey there is no way Canelo beats him.

Canelo is a really good boxer and I am a fan but the size difference will be his Achilles.
Obviously, it would be great if Canelo can pull it off but my prediction is Kovalev KO’s him or Canelo gets the robbery of the century award.
