Let's go though the fight & give me the punches landed in each round with the time on the round.

Age,. Canelos body shots or GGG was never elite. Sadly he never faced real opposition in his prime for us boxing fans to really know how good he really WAS*
But that's a different situation. As a trainer you want motivate your fighter. So saying he's losing the fight is fine because you want to motivate him to fight better for the rest of the fight. Lots of trainers have said things like that during the fight. But saying you basically thought your fighter lost after he won the fight serves no motivational purpose. I've never heard a boxing trainer allude to such a thing before.

Don't be trying to create another false narrative that Pvssy-G be getting all the time with his fake hype job ass. He lost to Jacobs, Nelo twice & D-Chenko so give it up.

Yes he does. Sanchez new how to utilize G's natural strengths to neutralize his weaknesses.
37 is not the age to try and change the formula. Switching to Banks told me G felt like he truly lost the Canelo the 2nd and it was Abel's fault.

Focus on the key point - GGG is a 160 Ibs fighter. Period.
As long as there are fights to be made at 160 why move up to 168?
Unless you want to tell us that moving up in weight is how you define greatness?

Calzaghe unified the 168 division. He beat pretty much everyone at that weight.

He beat Hopkins in a close fight and beat a shadow of the old Roy. You may disagree with the Hopkins result but deal with it.

You GGG fans love making the most left field excuses for the dude’s shortcomings.

Everyone I just named was/is just one weight class apart from him. What’s so crazy about asking him to jump up to fight Saunders or Ward?

Not that long ago, he was out here calling out Cotto and Canelo who were really just 154 pounders.

It’s also cool to tell Canelo to jump up to fight GGG, but we just gonna give Golovkin a pass on not jumping up to 168?

You can say all day that dudes were scared and avoiding him, but if him and his team really wanted those fights they would’ve gotten made. What other high profile fights were available to them at the time to not fight GGG?

Dude is a cherry pick and has been that way for years. Charlo and Andrade have been begging to fight him. Why hasn’t he fought them? The same bull**** he’s doing to them is the same **** he’s been doing to other dudes for years.

If ya are just happy with him knocking out cab drivers and him coming up short against actual live opponents, feel free to support him.
You're basically saying I hate GGG because he didnt do what I wanted him to do and not based off what he actually did.

Then you open your mouth when you dont even know your own history lmfao. Cotto held the WBC middle weight title which is the 160lb title.

Canelo fought at 155lbs for 3 years because he couldnt make 154 anymoreand didnt want to fight GGG at 160.

Cotto PAID GGG 3 million to step aside so he could fight Canelo at 155lbs.

And Charlo and Andrade have been calling his name out since.....? GGG fought Jacob's then chased Canelo. GGG just took on a top contender at MW. Tell me who Andrade and Charlo are fighting next?

That's 2017-2019. Andrade and Chalo didnt even move up to MW until 2017!

                Lmfao. So embarassing.

I wouldn't be surprised if GGG fires Banks. I'm not convinced that Abel is the answer though. I'd be willing to let this performance slide since GGG was ill this week (with varying degrees of how bad it was depending on who tells the story), but if he has another performance like this regardless of illness or any other reasons, he should be retiring. Its not like he needs to prove anything to anyone anymore. He cleaned up the division while all these guys were growing up and now, with 5-8 years difference between the rest of the division and past his prime, he makes his life much more difficult than it needs to be. If only gifted boxers had the gift of knowing when to quit the sport. Almost everyone overstays their welcome, at least GGG can afford not to.

Does his coach not know how boxing scoring works?

A fight can be razor thin and still be a UD. Likewise many (most?) split decisions are normal wins where one scorecard was wildly inconsistent with the other two.

Split decision is a tiebreaker in case of judging error. It doesn't signal the closeness of a fight.

One of those things people just repeat without thinking about what the words mean I guess.
