  • Comments Thread For: Golovkin: If Canelo Says 'Yes' To Trilogy - Let's Do It!

Gennady Golovkin is still very open to the idea of facing Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez in a trilogy fight. On Saturday night, Golovkin went through hell to overcome the challenge of Sergiy Derevyanchenko. GGG won a close twelve round unanimous decision at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Can we all just agree to call him Saul "Retirement Plan" Alvarez from here on out?

Ok, I see you. That's good. That's enjoyable stuff right there.

Golovkin is even begging Canelo to KO him once and for all.

I would still rather see GGG-Canelo 3, just to see some finality there...even if GGG gets paid the same to face Nelo vs Dervy.

GGG did not look very good last night, but if he wants the Nelo fight, then go ahead.

SD rematch would be fine as well...I felt SD just got unlucky last night...he was the better man imo, but the flash KD and the big shot he took in round 2 probably took his 8-4 win on my card to 6-6 which would edge to GGG...no problem with an SD win on anyone's card though.

If they fought again in the same styles SD would win most likely...rematch would be a great fight...GGG needs to work behind the jab again, if he can...that's what made him great imo

Without Canelo GGG knows DAZN can’t cut that premium check.

He just made 7mil against Devry to get a beating. DAZN isn’t going to pay GGG’s other half (purse) any time soon. Most likely at the end of his contract. GGG needs that premium check from Canelo to justify a big pay. This is why Loeffler is biting his nails atm throwing these headlines out there.
