Haymon just made Devry bigger STAR than Charlo! MSG, Barclays, Chicago!

I think we can agree the standard is different for live events.
I get that people have the ability to watch a replay of the fight whenever they want to but that equates boxing with a TV show rather than a sporting event. Netflix doesn't have Live Sports so I don't know if your comparison is valid.
Also, isn't the better metric of who watches a fight live then say the next day. I get sometimes you can't be in front of your TV for a fight but live sports are not TV shows. The best and most dramatic part of the experience is watching it live. Right?
I would hate to think boing becomes something you watch like you would Friends or A Dave Chappelle Special.Comment

Haymon got him PAID a lot of damn money which is his job for his fighters as their ADVISER! Derevyenchenko took care of the rest in the RING and made himself a bigger star after Saturday Night. DiBella is his promoter, Keith Connolly is his Manager so all played a role in getting him here. Also props to the IBF for not dropping him far after losing a very close fight to Jacobs allowing him to get right back into Mandatory Status. He proved he belongs in that Top 5 at 160 while it was people tearing him down about his Resume and tried to make the argument that he wasn't good enough to get a shot at Canelo or GGG originally
Once again EXPOSING how Fickle Boxing Fans Are!Comment

You’re either completely confused or playing the fool with your out of context points.I think we can agree the standard is different for live events.

First, I’m merely stating the practicality of replays for On-Demand. Second, “On-Demand” does not mean “shows.” Third, since when have I advocated to miss Live Events for any platform?! Lol
The PPV model, assuming $75+ is the goal, is an inflated price for boxing when you get better value on DAZN. Of course you shills will try your best to criticize DAZN on the $20 price for an event that “doesn’t make sense” yet look at the irony of PPv. Subjective isn’t it? Furthermore, the audacity of PBC shills to say $75 is worth it yet for $25 more for a complete year is irrational?Comment

So you literally just pulled bull**** numbers out of your ass and ran with it? Lol.
Fight happens Saturday night (everyone interested knows the results by midnight), a basically equal audience watches the fight on Sunday, the drop-off starts on Monday, but even by Tuesday nearly 40% of the first day audience is still paying to see the fight replay? You can't be this ******.
Netflix puts on movies and TV series; how in the **** are you using that template to talk about live sports.
The Super Bowl draws 1 in 3 TVs on Super Bowl Sunday; do you honestly think that folks are amped to watch the Super Bowl again that following Tuesday on replay? Not a ****ing chance.Comment

I’ll keep saying it for months ahead as I did months before! Eventually you’ll get it.
You actually believe “replay” is exclusive for new buyers after an event when general subscribers are watching it over again?! Do you actually believe DAZN subscribers only watch the fight once? Dude you’re a dummy! I don’t know how many times I have to repeat Daily Metrics!
How times can a PPV buyer watch Porter Spence on replay?Last edited by Thuglife Nelo; 10-07-2019, 04:04 PM.Comment

If you didn't buy the PPV that night, or watched it that next morning (out at a fight party with friends who didn't really care for the fight, or had more interest in hanging out than watching the fight; enjoy the fights in the comfort of your own space), I'd be willing to bet that the number of folks still looking to buy the event might come to 5% of the initial number (with Fox Sports not putting the event on FS1 for at least a month after the PPV, you may get that up to 10%).
No one watches or cares to watch the Super Bowl on the Tuesday after Super Bowl Sunday (maybe the commercials live for about a week after, but even that is unlikely).
No one is watching Golovkin-Derevyenchenko today, and frankly I doubt anyone watched it yesterday either.
The replay value of live sports is nowhere near where you think it is, and it's hilarious to see you stake this as the hill you want to die on, lolComment

Bro stop embarrassing yourself. No one is saying ''get DAZN days later, miss the Live event!''It's live sports!

Stop acting the fool. Maybe I should've used ''rewatched'' since you're too dumb to understand what replay means.
Does DAZN market its sales for replays? You know exactly what was meant. OTT is based on daily metrics which means consumers have the practicality of watching content as many times as they wish.
But keep acting ****** to protect your PBC shilling.
Maybe The Big Dunn can explain it to you better.Comment

It’s not that simple. I question your use of the word value because many fights are not worth the DAZN price the same way you feel cards are not worth the ppv price. You’re either completely confused or playing the fool with your out of context points.

It’s also in part about marketing and promoting to customers. DAZN doesn’t seem to market the app on urban radio and urban tv as much as Haymon does. They also don’t have a ton of boxers that resonate in urban and African American communities.
There are also viewing habits. DAZN seems to appeal to the fan that watches at home by himself while ppv appeals to people that watch in groups. DAZN may be only $100 but when ppvs are on I invite people and split the cost so it all evens out.
I think there is room for both If you are a diehard fan. I just don’t know if watching anytime is a selling point that appeals to a lot of fans.Comment
