Watching live felt SD was the better man...scoring it now had it like this:
1- GGG 10-8
2- tough round...action was all SD really...but if you score that open cut for GGG, probably have to give it to him...GGG
3 - SD...outworking him all round...GGG lands a few big shots...inverse of some GGG fights/rounds where he is outworking the opponent and the opponent lands a big shot or two.
4 - GGG...close round, but GGG took it at the end...rounds are tough to score tbh...hard to tell all of what is getting through clean for SD...GGG's shots are a little cleaner usually when he lands, but activity favors SD...could easily be 2-2 here and would be a fine score.
5 - SD...clear...hurt GGG to the body at the end
6 - GGG stole it at the end again...SD's activity should be winning him rounds, but GGG comes through with a big shot or 3 and it makes you wonder who is doing the most damage...good finish by GGG to take the round
7 - Lol another close round...once again SD was starting to take it and then tried to give it away in the last 10 seconds...slide to SD...but hard fight to score imo...has to be 4-3 either way at this point I think.
8 - man another close round...will slide to SD...common theme here is SD's activity vs GGG's big shots/cleaner shots imo...hard to tell what all is landing clean for SD...but appears to be landing more...GGG appears to land cleaner and more effective when he does land.
9 - yeesh...another shoulder shrug...will edge to GGG...part of SD's problem here is even with his activity it is hard to tell what is really landing on GGG, as besides that body shot in round 5 he hasn't really made GGG back up at all with anything...5-4 either way at this point seems right to me.
10 - SD...as clear a round as we've had...GGG with some good work but too much good work from SD...great round of action
11 - GGG...probably his best round yet...which says something, considering it was competitive...better and cleaner shots were from GGG in this round, the right hand with about 10 seconds appeared to wobble SD
12 - another shoulder shrug round...would score it 10-10 but feel 6-6 overall is beyond fair for SD so shade it to him
Feel SD was the better man tonight...but he probably lost the first two rounds even though he had better action in those two rounds...and then maybe gave away another couple late...if GGG has any desire, a rematch would be appropriate here...perfect example of a rematch being needed.
