      Wut?!?!

Why would you count thrown punches over landed punches? Landing punches is how you win fights. Makes no sense.

And thinking about it counting landed punches would likely make this job much easier & more accurate. Getting rid of thrown punches makes more sense.

But I got news for you. It's NEVER been about who lands the most punches. Effective aggression. Meaning some slickster can out-jab a slugger for 2.30 of a round BUT if A/ the slugger is not hurt and undeterred and B/ the slugger lands a couple of bombs that visibly wobble or hurt the slickster then guess who wins the round? Those 2 bombs were more effective than the 40 preceding slapping punches.
        That’s not the point!

The point is that what’s the point of using stats when it’s not accurate?

It just pushes a false narrative to casuals!

Boxing is about who does the most damage overall in a fight or who landed more shots whether head or body or a mixture of both!

Obviously your bias to guys with the power, but say a boxer jabs the sluggers head off for the entire round and the slugger rocks the boxer, should the slugger get the round off of 1 or 2 hard shots that rocked the boxer or should the boxer win cuz he landed more punches which equals up to more damage overall in a round?

Or how about the boxer lands more bodyshots than the slugger in a whole round but gets rocked once, should the boxer lose cuz he got hurt by a shot or should the slugger lose cuz he got outlanded to the body?

All this proves is that boxing judging criteria is subjective an nothing special!

3 people make a decision on a fight, that’s it!

I’m just saying there has to be something better than that!

IMO the winner should be the guy who landed more or does more damage overall or even both!

I don’t understand if a guy he’s knockdown in a round but then outworks and out-landed his opponent overall in the fight still loses!

"keeps track of landed punches" Gtfo with that. Compubox is nothing but 3 guys pressing a button everytime they "THINK" a punch landed, so it consists on appreciation that can be wrong or biased. GGG got beaten from pillar to post and Derev outlanded him all night, Triple Gift won 4 rounds at most if you're being generous. Even the 1st kd wasn't legit as it was due to rabbit punching

but stay butthurt and in denial

Lol wow...looking at those punch stats after round 2 kind of sums it up for me...had many close rounds that were hard to call...felt SD was the better man but my card edged it to GGG
