Not many fighters breaking the late 30's wall nowadays

Wow... not so long ago, many experts ranked GGG ahead of Pacquiao in their P4P List. The Pacquiao of last fight is years ahead of this version of GGG and many other fighters that has yet to reach their 40's.

Canelo would pulverize the version of GGG. Maybe is time to the great GGG call it a career.

Pac man is something else. GGG needs to move up and test the waters or retire.

What are you talking about? When have they ever done great in their late 30's, outside of HW? Plus, the first post has nothing to do with the thread title.

what was Pac's amateur career like?

GGG has over 350 amateur fights. you don't think that wears you down?

he was run like a muaythai fighter. Kostya Tszyu retired at 33 because he had 200 amateur fights.

he was prob out of his physical prime when he joined the pros.

Pac is one of a kind. Mayweather knew it, that's why he ducked him and stalled the fight for years until Pac was out of prime, both physically and mentally

current Pac might be a 30% of his best version at best

GGG is hitting the wall fast, it reminds me of Sergio Martinez, who went from being one of the best MW to bum level overnight, after the Chavez Jr fight ruined him physically

Boxers like Hopkins and Pac are rare in any era. People have been noting GGG's aging for a while, even Golovkin himself has started talking about it. What makes it worse is most of his career has been wasted with weak opposition.

He doesn't have much left so he should either cash out or retire quietly.

The topic is late 30s... GrandPac should be out of the discussion because he's in his early 40s now... And he fought weaklings during his late 30s...
