Great fight, I think GGG lost that fight. Canelo would stop him or knock him out in a 3rd fight. It was either his age or he couldn’t take body shots. And after the guy hurt him to the body, he stopped investing down there in the next round and throughout the fight. GGG just looked very vulnerable. The announcers were making excuses for him saying he was sick leading into the fight. I don’t see him beating Canelo IF Canelo brings the fight to GGG as aggressively as this guy did. I was impressed with him. Fought Danny Jacobs real tough too.

boxingscene scored it 155-112 to Derevy

I just googles 5 other sites that had round-by-round scoring

4 of them scored it for Derevy... 1 had it for Golovkin, by 1 point

the ex-Mexican had the Luck-of-the-Irish tonight

I compared BoxingScene's card against mine. One of them was a swing round (Round 9), fine.

Round 12 seems to be the real difference with who scored what. Sergiy was aggressive in Round 12, but from my eyes he wasn't effective compared to the shots Golovkin landed, which by and large were power shots with greater accuracy.

It seems like anyone who had Sergiy winning, did so because he was so aggressive, without considering how many shots were blocked, missed or deflected.

Either way, saying Golovkin "clearly" won is BS. He didn't "clearly" win anything. It was a very close fight.

yea I agree with you... in spots where the fight was hotly contested, Golovkin was often more effective... problem is Derevyanchenko was more often effective in consecutive exchanges, turning Golovkin, catching him with sharp leads/counters... giving the impression that he was controlling the fight

that was a very close-run affair
