If he faced Charlo...he is ducking Andrade, and ducking Dervy again!!!

They would give GGG very little credit if he beats any of those 3 guys...they will just say he should beat one of the other two...and if he does that, then the 3rd one is the real one he has been avoiding.

For GGG I would prefer him to go to 168 after this (Smith preferably), unless Charlo-Andrade fight each other, then I would like him to fight the winner of that...in those cases I think he gets more credit if he wins those fights.
There is a very real possibility that Canelo won't fight Andrade next. There is Murata in Japan that has a huge following and DAZN has a presence there. Murata has been mentioned as an opponent for Golovkin. I'm sure DAZN has something to do with it. Canelo could substitute for Golovkin because they aren't getting value out of Canelo's fights. His pay and the pay of his opponents are too high.

You're telling me the Franchise belt holder isn't guaranteed to fight the normal World titlist or vice versa?

I'll have to look this **** up I guess.

The WBC has made a list of what being the Franchise champion entails, which can be seen below.

      1. The Franchise Champion designation is exclusively by appointment of the WBC Board of Governors by a majority vote of the board.

      2. This designation is not transferable and is exclusively to the fighter who receives such designation.

      3. The Franchise Champion will be designated as WBC Emeritus Champion once he retires from boxing.

      4. The Franchise Champion will proudly represent the WBC in every single fight as a reigning WBC champion, regardless of any specific conditions or titles being associated with all future fights. WBC rules and regulations will govern under the traditional conditions of boxing in the Franchise champion fights. WBC will approve through the franchise champion promoter every opponent scheduled to fight.

      5. Franchise Champion agrees to participate in a minimum of two social responsibility events every year, organized and in conjunction with the WBC.

      6. The WBC may recognize a WBC champion in the division or divisions where the Franchise champion currently competes.

      7. The WBC may award a Diamond Championship belt in those fights in which the Franchise Champion engages. If the Franchise Champion loses, the winner will receive the Diamond belt and may be considered as mandatory contender of the division.

Best I can tell there's no obligations (the only mandatory requirements seem to be that he attends a coupla social events per year and the bolded basically means that the WBC have given have given him a free hand in opponent selection) and the title is non-transferable - ie you can't win that ish by beating the incumbent franchise champ, although the WBC may - at their discretion - grant a 'Diamond' title to a guy who beats the franchise champ. Best I can tell the 'Diamond' champ optionally created becomes mandatory to the WBC 'World' championship - which has been rendered effectively worthless by the creation of a franchise champ. You couldn't make it up, man.

No excuses, both are fighting within a month of each other and if both win they can unify!

If ggg acts ****** and or funny then that gives us evidence that he definitely is ducking Andrade!
            I would love that unification.

I just hope GGG gets that fight before the Canelo fight.
If he goes after Canelo, it will be a problem. He already has a built in excuse to not fight him again.

I just moved up, I wont move down

derevyanchenko aint nobody that he should be promised fights...w.e already know what he is and isnt...he lost to a guy that golovkin already beat....we dont care....the boxing world does not really care about this fight.....we want to see golovkin tested by someone andrade

lol@someone like derevyanchenko being "promised" something like he is somebody...

ask the boxing world what theyd rather see....this fight or golovkin/andrade and you know what the answer would be

Why would he enter negations with Andrade who holds a title and will demand more money than SD when he can win the IBF and spend less?

                No rational reason, right?

lol@"spend less"....these guys are all concerned with pockets when it comes to lil g...not so much for other guys....i guess "best fighting the best" goes out the window with golovkin

This may just be the worst of them.

Okay, so Canelo's got a title that's more like the Diamond, Pearl, Onyx, Mayan, Money, Emeritus variety. More of a pat on the pass trophy than a real title.

It can't be lost...yeah, I know about them.

It has no mandatory obligations nor does it guarantee any form of unification?

                    Yeah, plenty of those.

Man the WBC is bad about handing out trophy belts. I thought, for some reason, this was more like the reg/super and now gold, bull****.

I'm not saying I appreciate the reg, but, at least it demands unification ever once in a while.

So the only way to force a fight with Canelo at MW right now is through the WBA or does he have a special deal with them as well?
