How could SpencePorter Unification have less PPV than Spence Garcia?

    Can someone please explain this?

Didn’t Spence diehards claim that Spence stole Mikey fans? Spence had also doubled his following on social media since the Mikey fight.

    Vs Porter was Unification.

It makes absolutely no sense unless we acknowledge that much of the PPV sales were from Mikey Garcia.

Spence is killing García in attendance and any other numbers. His one fight against Ocampo in Texas outdrew all 3 fights Mikey has had in Texas. Outsold Mikey at the Staples center also Lol. How is Spence easily outdrawing him in Texas and California should be your real question.

Gate sales doesn’t always represent PPV sales. Canelo is not from Texas. He’s done 55k attendance but only 300k in PPV when he fought Smith.

THe grim reality is that both Spence and Crawford aren’t star level yet or else you’d have REAL OFFERS from either side. If Spence and Crawford aren’t throwing offers for publicity, a substantial amount to really make the fight, then they’re no different than GGG just saying “this is business.”

Why do you people expect more than 100K in that Spence/Porter fight, which is equivalent to Thurman/DGarcia, Thurman/Porter, DGarcia/Porter, which were non-PPVs?

Do you actually believe casuals would pay $75 to see guys that aren't even star-quality fighters?

You need to stop fooling yourselves. Boxing is basically dead in millions of homes. You don't have to take my word for it. Go stand in one corner of your street and do a survey. Or ask co-workers, friends, acquaintances.

Only reason why such fights are on PPV is because fighters, promoters are asking too much money. It's a way to simplify negotiations, "Okay, you get more if the fight sells..."

Y'all fanboys is killing me hahaha. He could have all the attendance records he wants, it's the the ppv that counts. Y'all need to stop underestimating the Latin America market, not just Mexican. Not only did the guy under perform but he undersold. We already have 21 savage, we don't need another one with boxing gloves.

You have to have "it" to sell bro. There has to be other factors that contribute to sell, politics, appearance, social economic background , etc. spence and wilder don't got it. Race plays a role but not like y'all think it does

He’s killing him in gate, attendance, and everything else. The Latin American market is just like any other market in America. The only PPV he’s been in is with the popular Spence who is more known than he is which is why he has more celebrities attending his events and more social media followers. His one fight in Texas against Ocampo outsold all 3 of Mikeys fights in Texas. Why are they not showing up to his events and supporting him on social media?

Both fighters are pulling from the same fanbase.
