Like FOX, I don't recognize the WBO, but their president still has a good point. The industry as a whole should put more pressure on the WBA to end the madness. The problem though is that the networks, fighters, managers, promoters, etc love the extra titles and got very upset when the WBA tried to eliminate them.

Top rank showed the money to WBO which PBC does not want to recognize. Hahaha!

WBA makes it ridiculous to determine who is a champ and who is not. Those WBA regular title holder shouldnt be considered champions as long as there are super WBA champions in the same division.
I dont even know what the WBA gold champion is supposed to be.

Then there are special cases like Davies and Machado.
Machado beats the WBA super champ Corrales, but Corrales didnt make weight and somehow they are now fighting for the WBA regular belt.
Meanwhile, Davies gets a shot for the vacant WBA super belt against inactive and small cuellar?

Who is now considered the champion in the history books?

And to continue this saga. Davies moves up and vacates his WBA super belt at 130 and fights for the vacant 135 WBA regular belt. Leo Santa Cruz moves up and fights for the vacant WBA super belt against someone who was stoped twice in a row recently.

They make it fairly easy. The WBA world championship and WBA super championship look completely different.

Your problem is that you sometimes want to consider the WBA world title the WBA world title, while other times wanting to consider the WBA super title the WBA world title.

For better or worse, they are what they are. No reason to pretend the super title is the world title when it isn't. The industry chooses to recognize both titles. I choose to recognize neither. You're free to do as you wish, but you're never going to find a good answer if you want to flip flop as to which is which.

The WBA's multiple "world champion" titles per division is a joke, but the WBO is obviously at the whim of a small number of promoters. It's not a well kept secret.

Fans and writers just need to completely discredit the WBA. It's a joke

All of these sanctioning bodies have something rotten going on. None of them look out for the best interests of the fans or the sport.

The boxing writers and media should expose how the WBO is in the pockets of Bob Arum and to a lesser extent Frank Warren. It's so obvious

                      We're watching you, Valcarcel.
