it would definitely be interesting to see. crawford started out as a giant 135 lber. he's got decent sized bones but he's nowhere near as muscular as porter, spence, brook.

what crawford does very well is box. he has footwork and angles that spence doesn/t have. spence uses distance and timing o make you miss and counter. he's right there to be hit, then he counters. crawford uses movement, angles, and boxing skills. crawford is never there to be hit. he is a slick fighter who will lie to you about where he is.

you can't maul what you can't corner or make stationary. it will be really interesting to watch crawford fight such a wild man. porter's just a beast of a fighter and you better come with a gameplan and execute if you're smaller than he is, or he will maul you. he's gonna maul you anyway. thaty dude is a rough customer. not oging to have a long career at this pace, but man did he make errol spence work to get paid the other night.

You saw the link I posted where on Instagram Crawford specifically named Spence, Thurman, and Porter. That was in May BTW. He did it, not me.

Sounds like he had a change of heart after watching the Spence fight. Too bad, that fight would serve him well. One thing for sure, he posted it on Instagram and named Porter ...

The link is there. See for yourself ...

Crawford still needs a top-level, credible opponent (and a victory) in his welter-weight excursion. Porter has just shown he is a monumental test for any WW ... this after razor-close losses to Thurman and Kell Brook when Brook was elite (he may still be at SWW). The fight with Thurman could have gone either way.

Porter has fought all of the top fighters at PBC except Pacquiao (that won't and shouldn't happen) in close exciting fights. If Porter overcomes Crawford, he gets a fresh belt, and the unification rematch with Spence (after a lights out first fight), which would be monumental.

If Terrence Crawford is able to win against Porter, he immediately gets the unquestionable stature and legitimacy to fight Spence, and the fight gets as large as is possible for a network-sharing megafight. Also, the intrigue of how Crawford overcame Porter vs how Spence overcame Porter, would add so much fire to the Crawford/Spence matchup.

No one loses in this scenario. PBC wins, Top Rank wins, Crawford wins (unless Porter defeats him), and Porter wins (because he gets the high profile championship fight he deserves after a tremendous showing against Spence). The involved networks win, fight fans win, and we get a Unified WW Champion at the end of it. This would probably be the best financial scenario for all involved.

Could anyone remotely attracted to boxing pass on this?

              What say ye Boxing fans?
Kenny Porter said they want Crawford if they can't get the Spence rematch. BoMac said they don't want to fight Porter.

Yep. Kenny said it after the fight on Dontae's Boxing nation in an interview with ticket tv. Then he said it again on 78 sports tv on Monday. Then he said it again yesterday on tha Boxing voice.

BoMac said Crawford is only interested in fighting champions on Monday when they asked him about fighting Porter

Thanks Cobra. Disappointing especially when he fought Khan and made a offer to fight Danny.

They didn't make a serious offer to Danny. They made an offer to Angel & he told them to get with Al he handles those things and they never contacted Al. But the purpose of doing that served two purposes. They could run to the media & say we offered Danny a fight & he turned it down. And they could further their agenda that they offered it to Angel because Al is hiding offers from his fighters

But one thing you won't hear is Al told them they could have the Spence fight after the Porter fight if they take a 65-35 split and they turned it down. Looks like thats what's they're going to end up getting anyway after those PPV numbers came out.
