    Comments Thread For: Dubois: I'm Building, Tightening My Game, Soon I'll Be Unbeatable!

    Daniel Dubois says he plans to have a holiday in the Caribbean following his one-round blast-out of Ebenezer Tetteh but admits that he does not know if he will be able to take a break from training. Dubois says he has not really considered going on holiday before and admits the heavyweight might feel restless if he ends up trying to relax on a beach.

    Deontay won’t want that smoke when Dubois gets to that elite level, Arreola will be called out of retirement for a rematch.

      Nobody has ever been or ever will be unbeatable, especially in HW boxing where one clean shot can end any fight at any point.
      He's young enough for a slow build to work out though, as long as he can keep the hunger. Wasn't sold on Dubois at first, he looked a bit too basic and one paced but his last 2 or 3 fight have shown improvements and I see the potential now. The question is; will he reach world level while the current top guys are still top of their game, will he catch them on the slide, or will he miss them altogether and be the start of the next generation?

          Dont like boxers using the word unbeatable, especially young ones learning their trade. Hopefully Dubois remains humble and continues to improve himself.

            Starting to like this guy. I know the brash talk may sound like arrogance but a couple weeks ago everyone was saying he had the personality of a commode and so on. I think these recent comments are purely to garner new fans and not necessarily his true feelings. I'll be following his career with great interest...

                He's has the goods to be great if;

                He works hard, work on defense and stop free swinging so much, because one shot countered can end your day in this division. He appears to be in great shape, his power is freaky, if he has great stamina and learn to box and counter this boy will be hell and a house hold name in 2 years. He has that explosive power and beautiful combination puncher and for a heavyweight that means $$$$$.

                  He went unbeaten, but was not unbeatable. Once he had the belt secured, for the most part he (or more likely, his trainer) avoided the contenders that dwarfed him in size. Fantastic fighter though, and was never more dangerous than when he was hurt. Chin and heart, personified.
                  At the lower weights; Mayweather went unbeaten, but fought most of his high profile opponents when they were either on the slide or before they were truly ready for an elite level fight.
                  Moonsri is still unbeaten after 53 fights but the talent-pool is shallow at Minimumweight to say the least, and people had only even heard of him for the first time as he leveled and then passed Mayweather's record.
                  And as much as I loved Calzaghe as a boxer; Lacy (what a performance that was) and Kessler aside, most of his higher profile opponents were also on the slide. I don't think that was entirely his fault though, for most of his career he was just too high risk-low reward.
