Leo Santa Cruz is right about one thing. Gary Russell Jr. wants more money. He even stated previous times that boxing is more of a business than a profession for him and based on what he makes he's happy to only fight once a year. I don't really like it and neither does Russell Sr. given how talented Gary is. As far as with their last opposition, Kiko Martinez and Rafael Rivera were just stay busy fights for both Leo and Gary. I'm more than certain Gary wants the fight. Otherwise, why go through all the trouble with this video. Does anybody know how much money been offered to Gary to fight Leo? Haymon could be saving this fight to start off 2020 with a ****. There is the possibility that we could be seeing Russell Jr and Santa Cruz as the co-main event for the Wilder/Fury FOX PBC Top Rank PPV on February 22

GRJ is a quality mfer obviously, but its a fight thats not worth the risk cuz he is good but no one ones who the f#ck he is including many hardcores I bet so there isnt no money in it. Cant fight once a year for the last 4 or 5 years & think big fights are gonna be coming your way. If you known already you can do it, but when you cool getting a once a year 6 digit check as a no name guy its taking you nowhere very slowly.

And yea that shouldnt matter, but the way boxing works in this era is in a asses in seats way not a whos the best way. Id much rather it work in the latter way, but you are denying how boxing works to do that in 2019 & ultimately boxing is a job with these guys & you always wanna maximize your income in a short career like boxing is.

Forget GRJ for a minute. Why isn't Santa Cruz fighting anyone better than Miguel Flores next?

He hasn't done anything significant with his career since the second Carl Frampton fight which was years ago. Aside from beating Abner Mares which may or may not be significant depending on who you ask.
