I don't think this result is controversial or a robbery at all, if that's what you're trying to say. If anything, the card that got called for Porter was the weird one.

exactly Canelo is too crucial to GBP success to be allowed to failOriginally posted by Southpawology View PostLOL that scorecard was sooooo badddddd. Floyd blanked canelo 12-0 and CJ Ross ( i think?) had it a draw
They'll do anything to protect his record.
Respect to Canelo though he takes big fights

lol right. It was ridiculous & so obviously corrupt. I think I had Canelo winning 2 rounds when watching it & that was being very generous. If Canelo wasn’t the draw he is I genuinely think he would have 3 or 4 losses right now. It’s no coincidence that every single close fight he’s been in he’s gotten the W with the exception of the first Golovkin fight which should have probably been a loss. I do think he might have edged out winning the second fight though to be fair with that win.Originally posted by GrandpaBernard View PostCanelo is unusually coddled
who the hell gets a scorecard in their favor after being 12-0'd by the biggest draw in the history of boxing

But he’s not a cash cow. Maybe he’ll be involved in a couple of big fights, but that is completely different.Originally posted by Southpawology View PostDanny is slowing down and been in alot of wars, Thurman is constantly injured, porter not a big ticket seller, Manny is in his 40's....That leaves one guy left, Spence. And hes very close with al haymon.
Canelo was groomed very early on
To compare both of these is absurd

I don’t disagree with most of your post. But Spence’s two biggest fights were far more competitive than the (former) hype would suggest. Canelo is fighting the likes of Golovkin and Kovalev, where Spence is struggling with Porter. I don’t like Canelo, but I’ll defend him where he deserves itOriginally posted by GrandpaBernard View Post147's glamour guy
Very good fighter with skills
Action packed style that fan friendly
Better looking than the other welters
I find Spence beats his guys more convincingly than Canelo. Spence has one super close big fight as of now
Canelo is guilty of not rematching
Trout
Lara
3g trilogy seems unlikely
Also I’ve bolded the glamour guy thing. How do you qualify that exactly? I don’t see any glamour guy in the division, other than Manny, because no one stands out

He's clearly being pushed and positioned to be the cash cow at 147. Manny is in his 40's hes not going to be around much longer so that leaves spence.

You say clearly, but I’m not seeing it.Originally posted by Southpawology View PostHe's clearly being pushed and positioned to be the cash cow at 147. Manny is in his 40's hes not going to be around much longer so that leaves spence.
Obvious signs for me would be huge spotlight spots in undercards with big names on to raise the profile. Spence has none of that promotional momentum.
From what I can see, he is just one of the PBC welterweights that they will recycle fights in house over, much like Arum did prior, and throwing Pacquiao in there at the right time to cash in.

The judge that had Porter winning also had charlo beating korobov 119-108.Originally posted by Southpawology View PostSpence much like canelo will never lose a close fight, this is just the sad reality. Judges will handle him with white velvet gloves. You dont think Al has these judges taken care of??? Especially when errol says things like "I'll never betray Al" . Just Like fighting canelo the only way to beat him is to KO him.
I think maybe he has no clue how to score a fight because even if you think charlo and porter won those scores are preposterous.
