Porters style is so different from all the other WW’s there’s not much to take from this performance. The only thing we know for sure is Spence is in shape and can fight a hard 12 round fight.

There were some positives for Spence for sure...good stamina, great body work, never appeared really hurt himself...it was a good 12 round test for him.

My 2 cents...I can't imagine Crawford getting into that fight with Porter...I think Crawford makes it look easier...and I thought Spence would do that last night.

But yes Porter is an awkward fighter and styles make fights...I would favor TC over Spence at this moment however

I think alot of the surprise comes from that Shawn Porter is also better than people think. He fights everyone and always makes a good account of himself. I would of really liked to see him with a better trainer earlier on that could of maybe polished that talent and taught him not to smother his own punches. Tough our for anyone though.

Shawn is definitely a tough style matchup...but I thought Spence would handle him considerably easier than Thurman or Brook did and I didn't really see that at all...imo Crawford handles Porter fairly easy, using more or less the same strategy as he did vs Horn.

Should be some good fights at 147 coming up though and they will likely all sort themselves out.

Folks say this so easily right now, but I feel like the day after Errol & Bud fight folks are gonna be saying what did you think was gonna go down his best win was over Jeffrey Horn real mfing quick.

I think folks are boosting Bud a lot more than he deserves at this stage with what hes done at 147.

After the W last night for Errol Bud gots the worst resume of the best guys at 147 & few folks bring it up.

Is anyone wondering how hard the punching was from both?

It looked like both were taking severe punishment yet they both finished relatively fresh and the one knock down was a flash incident. Either they are both incredibly tough and durable or else, perhaps, the punching was not as hard as it looked. Or a bit of both.

Crawford has a advantage in speed that would certainly benefit him against Porter that Spence does not have. Its a shame Crawford has not been in the mix while Danny was apparently hiding out waiting to stage a WWE callout when he could of been fighting Crawford to set up bigger fights.

Yeah maybe it was a case of both guys feeling each other out early...and realizing they could take their best shots...I think the adrenaline was just pumping for both last night and I'm sure both woke up feeling the pain today.

Yeah I wish Crawford was in the mix now too...would help to tell his level at 147...but that's just how boxing goes sometimes I guess...I hope they figure a way to mix him in with some of those guys at 147 before he fights Spence...too many good fights potentially for him to be sitting on the sidelines.

Spence showed grit, heart and ability to weather a storm. He was tested versus Brook, but Porter put him through his paces and forced him to dig deep. He passed the eyeball test and showed why he is a top 3 welter and top 5 P4P. I still favor Crawford, but it will be a dog fight and the toughest fight for each of them to date.
