You might want to remember a little harder.

Spence is supposed to be the boogieman. So yeah, he should be stopping little guys.

I want to see him against Crawford.

I totally disagree. My point was no one questioned Hagler’s overall power and ability to stop people after the Duran or Leonard fight. Styles make fights. And what do you say about Spence stopping 9 out of 10 full blown welterweights leading up to the Mikey Garcia fight. Sometimes the knock out doesn’t come but even you would have to agree, stopping the likes of Sammy Vargas, Chris Algieri, Kell Brook, & Lamont Peterson isn’t easy and it shows power at welterweight. I don’t put too much stock in Spence not getting Mikey out of there who is technically and fundamentally a very good fighter who hasn’t been stopped by anyone in boxing, professional or amateurs.

Read the article. Hell yes people questioned Hagler, big time, because he couldn't knock out Duran.

"It seemed everybody was disappointed that I didn't knock him out. I felt that way myself. But he wasn't that vulnerable to a knockout. It was hard to hit him with a solid punch. I didn't catch him with a solid shot."

Check out what Spence is talking now. He says he is going to stop Porter.

He's the boogieman. Against weak competition.

Go read your history. Hagler was a bad dude, but he was criticized for beating small guys coming up. And he was criticized for not stopping Duran.

I wasn't bothered by Spence not getting Mikey out of there, because Mikey bottled himself up. Still, he didn't even come close.

He's not the badass he wants us to think he is.

HUH?....you said this, “I wasn't bothered by Spence not getting Mikey out of there, because Mikey bottled himself up. Still, he didn't even come close.”

What about this round right here......tell me if his corner wasn’t thinking about stopping the fight.

And it’s totally disrespectful to Mikey Garcia who I believe knows how to defend himself in different spots during a fight to endure punishment, roll with punches, take enough shots and then get out the way, and was determined to see the final round. And his corner was talking about stopping the fight anyway. Garcia is tough and technically sound.

I remember when Hagler fought Leonard and Duran and he couldn’t stop either of them, no one said anything. Or when Manny was coming up in weight classes and Cotto, Mosley, Oscar, and others couldn’t stop him. No one said anything. Or when other great fighters historically couldn’t stop smaller fighters coming up. It’s the fight game, each fight takes on a life of its own.

It’s all click bait. One person says it, then everyone follows suit. So the same guy that stopped Kell Brook, Algieri, Peterson, and Vargas, true welterweights, all of a sudden can’t punch, can’t knock anyone out. Stop it, you sound really ******! And if Spence stops Porter, what happens with the entire Spence couldn’t stop Mikey Garcia argument? LMAO, dumb ass fight fans.

Does anyone believe Broner, who came up from a smaller division, and dropped Porter in the last round of their fight, hits harder than Spence
All good points. Every fight is different. It's hard for a fighter to go through his career and face good competition without being stopped. Fighters got to get stopped at some point.

I'd say Spence has the best chance to stop Porter at this point. Nevertheless my argument for why Spence wouldn't knock Porter out if I had one would be he has a granite chin. One little slip up or flash knockdown from Adrian Broner don't change that.

It will be interesting tonight for sure if Porter comes in aggressively like he did against Garcia, Thurman, and Brook. Spence is a very accurate puncher to the body and head. I watched a video of all of Spence’s stoppages. He doesn’t have 1 shot power to get you out of there. It’s an accumulation of shots over the course of a fight, wearing down his opponent’s until the ref stops the fight. I saw the Porter vs Brook fight with Porter being very aggressive. What swung the fight in Brooks favor was from round 7 on, Porter seemed to lose some steam and Brooks shots were landing more effectively. Porter can’t lose steam down the stretch against Spence. Remember, Spence looked stronger in round 9 until the end of the fight against Mikey Garcia even though he didn’t stop him. And Mikey is defensively more responsible than Porter.

Broner wasn’t the only one that landed a great shot on Porter. Thurman hurt and wobbled Porter in round 4 of their fight. I believe Ugas dropped Porter in round 12 but it was ruled a slip by the ref. Brook even caught Porter with a shot that stopped him in his tracks. So I’m not completely sold that Porter has a granite chin. I think Spence may stop Porter late if his conditioning doesn’t hold up.

I also think Brook predicted a late knock out for Spence tonight because he was trying to tell us that the shots are there to be had against Porter over the 2nd half of a fight. Brook didn’t make consistent investments to the body but Spence will all night and he is a better inside fighter than Brook or Thurman or Garcia. I can’t wait to see it, curious if Spence can be the 1st to stop Shawn.
