Asian, I think you're doing a great job so far - you definitely have writing talent and a way of building relationships quickly with guys in the know. It's all very exciting and cool now. But as a journalist, one thing you'll have to do in the future (maybe not tomorrow, but sometime for sure), is write a not-so-favourable article about the guys you've become best buddies with. It could be something like "David Tua showed he's a shot fighter tonight..." or "Manny Steward was definitely out-coached in the corner by Freddie Roach in this fight..." - someday, if you want to be respected as an objective journalist, you'll have to call BS on one of your "friends". I hope you're able to see past the cameraderie and the good times you've shared and be able to pull the trigger on an article like that - even though it may hurt your relationships, reporting objectively is what being a reporter is all about.

Anyhow, good luck, and keep up the good work!

Yeah, but that was a trick question. It was more to pry into his mind, where he really thinks he is realistically. I really liked his responses and it shows hes not delusional about where he is now.

I could've had more time but I only wanted to ask the essential questions. Anything else was irrelevant. I'm gonna be putting out an article on him next week thats gonna be sweet, so watch for it. I guess I'm the Tua writer now

Yeah, I know what you're saying. Definitely, I'm working on a Tua article that is gonna be really prying into whether or not he can really win the heavyweight title. One thing is whether Im pro or con, Im always fair. I think I should be able to retain my friends and peeps as long as Im fair. Thats what I strive to be, is a real writer. I make friends with my street sense and love for the sport, but unless Im gonna keep it real, whats the point?

Thats why every article I write addresses the pros and cons of the situation. My next Tua article is gonna be some really good stuff.

              Welcome.
He has a point, I agree. But Klitschko wouldn't floor Tua I don't think. One big left hook is enough - he couldn't land it on Lewis, but Klitschko is not as talented or relaxed in there.

AS, who do you think looks physically more intimidating in person - Shannon Briggs or David Tua?

Its an uphill battle for him certainly, he needs to prove himself in the next year. Hes got the punch still and the KO will definitely help his confidence. He weighed in at 245, he should try to get near 230 by the next time he fights. Hes got power and a chin, he just needs to go out there and get his.

If Wladimir is on, he will be a horrible matchup for Tua. However, if Wladimir is underprepared for the fight, Tua's granite chin and flare for the late round dramatics could leave Wladimir in Brewster like danger.

No question about it, Shannon Briggs. He is a massive man with the biggest head I ever saw on a human. He looks about 6 inches taller and 20 pounds on him. Briggs looks a whole division above Tua.
